Please share what kind of collector you are like:
Collect every bottle even its empty or
Or keep like 5% juice in the bottle and collect or throw your empties or only keep cool looking bottles and throw the rest when done. Me I just started 2 months ago and I have
Jpg le male
Tom Ford - TV
Montale - sweet Oriental dreams
Atelier - orange sangruine
Lalique - encre noir
Mona di orio - Ambre
Diptyque - philosykos
Tom ford - violet blonde
Hanae mori
Mdci - barbiere invasion
And empty bottle of fcuk for men which is empty I want to keep it as collection but wife saying to throw it

So the collector I am is to keep every bottle even its empty .

When my interest in perfumery began, it was like a nova in slow-motion which took years to reach its apex. While I have cleaned out numerous miniatures and sample vials I have yet to empty even a single bottle I own, because my collection has grown at such a pace that I can't wear even my favorites often enough to make a significant dent on the whole. When I finish some of these, I will keep the bottles long enough to remind me to replace them, assuming the bottles remains the same. There are a handful, however, with beautiful bottles, which I will likely never purchase again- These I will probably keep around as reminders.

I am one that only buy fragrances that I like regardless of the bottles and then after I am done with the juice, the empty bottles will go into a display shelf

I collect any scent I come across going cheap. Today I picked up a bottle of Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Him 2 - I've no idea what it smells like, but for $10 I thought it might be fun, and a spare bottle of Tsar for $7. Last night, from Strawberrynet (where I get a 10% discount) I ordered Zirh Corduroy for $15 and Nikel Eau Maximum Active Treatment Fragrance Spray for $9.

Sometimes I wish I lived where you live so that I could visit the fabled Marshalls.

For the record, I've gotten a lot more positive comments from wearing formerly expensive scents now going cheap, than I ever have from niche scents (most of which I also bought going cheap).

When I've nearly finished a bottle, I give it to one of my nephews to test out.
Regards,
Renato

Nice collection you've got going!

I'm ashamed to say I've not finished a bottle yet! Excitement for me is just finishing a sample vial. But I'm not a collector of stuff in general, so my bottles would probably get recycled or pitched.

Keep any bottle, as long as it still contains fragrance (even if only 1-2% full), throw it away as soon as it's empty.

In the trash it goes when it's empty.

I don't usually keep empty bottles. That said, I'm a collector who buys & keeps bottles as opposed to someone happy to sample & swap etc.

I've always been one to throw away bottles once they're empty. The one I may keep if I ever do empty it is the vintage black bottle of Xeryus that has the size and lot # etched into the bottom of the bottle. The other bottles of this I've seen have a sticker on the bottom.

When I was in high school and early college I emptied a bottle of Polo Sport. I threw it away. Since those days my cologne collection has grown to about 100 different bottles. I'm not sure if I'll ever empty another but based on the one bottle I threw away, I'd have to say I won't ever collect any bottles. If I like the scent enough, I'll just buy another...

Not counting samples, my collection has grown leaner over the years, as I've pretty much picked my posse. When a bottle is finally empty, I open it, throw in a little water, shake, and use it as a splash - there's plenty of fragrance there for a last hurrah.

I am not really a collector (started giving away some of my bottles lately since I only want to keep what I rotate). Just wanted to find diversity in some frags that smell good to me and have some versatility too. I think I am almost set up, once Pure Havane arrives. Ultimately I'll only end up keeping or rebuying once I need to, only my 5 star bottles, maybe 4 star too idk.

Same here.

This has never actually come up since I've yet to finish a bottle. A tremendous amount of design talent is lavished on perfume bottles, however, and many are works of art. So I would probably try to hold on to the empties if I could find space.

If it doesn't hold my interest it gets sold. It's the only way I can enjoy what I have. I doubt I will run out of what I have, but if it were to happen then I would re-purchase or if it was discontinued I'll slow down before it runs out. I won't save the empties though...

When there are so many good fragrances, I can't afford to waste time with ones I won't use (I always grab something I feel like wearing, not something I know I'm only using because I have it.) It's easy to weed my collection out this way, the ones that have sat too long are probably going in the sale thread.

I keep the empty of any interesting bottle, the others go in the recycle bin. I believe I ingerited this tendency from dear dad. He has about 20 empty vintage Old Spice bottles on display in his garage.

I keep bottle caps and usually ( reluctantly - being a hoarder ) recycle bottles and packaging . I keep stoppers and caps in case I get a tester minus a cap or perhaps someone else might need one .
I'm keep extrait bottles though simply because they are beautiful .

So far, the only empty bottle I own, is the old Fiji extrait flacon that used to belong to my late grandmother. Anything non-vintage, non-Caron/Chanel/Guerlain will go to the bin when it's empty.
