Good morning all...today I'm wearing Diptyque L'Eau De Tarocco...two days in a row...

I'm getting prepared to go to Paris later this week. My schedule is growing everyday more and more...(thanks Larimar for your precious suggestions)...

Morning!

Same here... 2 days in a row, but with Amouage Ubar (sample), which is somehow getting me to like civet. I even sprayed it on before bed so I could wake up to it... Yum!

Oh alfarom, I am soooo jealous. I am ready to go back to Paris anytime again. Do enjoy your time and please do report back!

Today I am in L'Heure Bleue EdC from the 1960s. This is one of the greatest stunners (for being still so fresh) that I have ever encountered in perfumery. The L'Heure Bleue floral orchestra at work with a lighter background (which is a very nice alternative). I am usually not too fond of the Guerlain EdCs (Shalimar, Mitsouko), I know, contrary to many here, but L'Heure Bleue is terrific.
On one wrist I have a small patch of Iris Silver Mist and the verdict is - no, I still can't do the carroty thing! I don't like it.

Have a great day all!

I have read that Insolence EdP nods its head quite often at L'Heure Bleue in certain notes; it's on my to-sample list. Must be lovely, as I adore Insolence!

Well, I started out in O de Lancome, but I seem to have ended up in Bobbi Brown Beach. Hey, if the shore is too crowded, at least I can smell like I'm there. :-)

Due to this being a U.S. holiday, we enjoyed a traffic-noise-deprived morning on the veranda watching birds fly by, including the Great Blue Heron.

Wearing the full orchestra that is Hermes 24 Faubourg.

Have a peaceful day, my chums.

Good afternoon! SL Datura Noir after a lazy start and a workout. No work for me today, Memorial Day in the US, to remember and honor those who died in war.

You and me both . I'm craving some out-of-the shower freshness so I've decided to join you this evening.

Love them, wooznib!!!

Rose of the Day is a Bulgarian oil rose 'Trigintipetala', needless to say the smell is divine.

Lots of garden work done this afternoon, still 'cleaning up' last winter's damage.

Tonight I'm in Vega - Guerlain. Dinner canceling in place today (I will take you up on that offer to send a few pounds per airmail, G. ), but I do look forward to my Sobranie...

Best to all

You would definitely enjoy New Zealand, Ine.

We saw 3 species there (White, White-faced, and Reef) regularly around the rivers and estuaries near my sister's home in Christchurch. (Not my photos either !)

We also get the regular Grey Herons occasionally here at our garden pond.

Thanks for the welcome I am lusting afte Beige and Eau de Cologne so badly right now. I went to a Chanel counter and had one sprayed on each arm. It was fantastic! The only not so great thing I noticed was that Eau de Cologne faded after about 2 hours of wear. Still it was delicious enough that I wouldn't mind having to reapply!

Huh! Portland keeps staying on my radar. Even our fave TV shows reference it (Grim and Awake).

Hiya and welcome to the rabbit hole rafraich and zubi!

Quarry- Ever watched the TV show Portlandia??? check it out. It's a hoot.

I love herons- in an undeveloped field across the street from my workplace, they come to hunt. I keep trying to sneak up on them to take photos. The co-workers tell me how entertained they are watching my efforts to sneak up on them.

Yes, today is a holiday here and I am avoiding the mall and the highway.

I am sampling from Sonoma Scent Studio today thanks to a dear and generous Basenoter, 30 Roses.

I'm back from our weekend get away to Kansas City ... I had the opportunity to visit the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum. One of the special exhibits was decorative arts of the World's Fairs. It was very cool!
If you are interested: http://www.nelson-atkins.org/art/exh...airs/home.html

My scent today is my newly purchased Bond Andy Warhol. It was totally spontaneous, as I had planned to buy High Line ... best laid plans and all. The plum and incense notes got me!

Today was the second day of Shavuoth, so there was yizkor, the memorial service for our departed, at my synagogue. I wore Guerlain Iris Ganache IMO mother, father, sister, and others. I've set this fragrance aside for memory. It is pensive and beautiful.
