Quick question in regards to a possible future Aventus split. Do you have any idea what batch you get when you purchase the flacon/before purchasing or is it pure luck in terms of what batch you get. I'm usually not too worried about things like this but batches vary wildly and Flacons seem like they would be prone to being older lots than the more consumer friendly sizes (consensus seems to be that older batches aren't great but the newer ones are all good, albeit in different ways).

This message is for those of you who are late sending payments. I really don't understand u guys.... I mean since u sign up for a split, that means you have the money to participate. Why are u guys late??? It is very easy , soccerhero sends payment requests you pay in the next 24 to 48 hrs ... That's plenty of time !!!! At least that's the way 95 % of us do it . It really is frustrating to wait one week or more for the rest of you . This process should go smooth . I don't think 70 , or 100 $ it's a lot of money for the quality of the products u receive. If u think it is ,you probably should not get in on any splits. I bet there are many who want to get your spot.

He said a few people were affected by Hurricane Sandy, but not sure if thats the cause of all delays (I'm looking at you, Neiman Marcus >8( ).

Well, it sounds like from when I talked to him that those who are part of the Windsor split are pretty screwed. NM has no idea when they will have another flacon, or...if you will, if another flacon exists. So, let's just say we won't be seeing Windsor anytime soon.

Yeah I think you are right about that.

I am looking at the GIT split and Aventus bottle 8. I would hope that Aventus bottle 8 has all the payments by now and that the Flacon has been ordered. GIT just needs to be decanted, labeled, packaged, and shipped.

Just a thread of light for anyone who is in on Windsor with us, or looking for future splits and worried one will never come.. I actually purchased a flaccon here in Canada as my local retailer got it shipped in from France. If NM doesn't pull through, I just may be able to! I'm likely going to return it if the NM one comes through though, as it was slightly more expensive here and I have no experience in splitting myself.

Last I heard from Jeff was on Friday and he said he was going to get to some decanting of different splits. I'm sure he's just busy will school and will be back soon.

To all of you that have not dealt with Jeff, don't worry. He is a stand up guy and you will be more than happy when you recieve your split. As we all well know, life gets in the way sometimes with other priorities ... in this case, school which Jeff must go to, to establish his future

On that note, I can not wait to get my GIT! Anticipation is killing me!

Hasn't he been saying for awhile now that he was going to New York and that he'd be away for awhile? Yes, I was hoping he would ship the GIT split before he left, but based on his posts...I think the flacon arrived the day before he was supposed to leave. I'm not worried. Read through the five pages of posts here...you don't find upset people.

I am sure nobody would be upset if there was some communication. We all understand that things happen and people are busy, but it is a lot easier to understand if we all know what is going on. It has been awhile since we have seen him post, and I check my email everyday. At least an "I'm going on vacation, here is the date I will be back."

Hey guys!

Work and school have both decided to beat me down this week. Just got home from work. I did get almost everything decanted this week, though!

Both Virgin Island Water and Aventus #8 flacons are expected here sometime Monday afternoon.

I've a wedding to go to tomorrow, but MI, TV, NdN, GIT, & Aventus #7 will all be out Monday. Still no update on the Windsor flacon, but as dcmastah posted earlier, he's found one for us if NM can't find one in their stores.

I'm leaving for NYC Monday, November 19, and will be returning home Saturday, November 24.

Sorry for being short right now and not being very present on Basenotes much this week! I'm glad my research paper is out of the way, and I can't wait for you guys to get your splits.

I had participated in the Creed Aventus split 6 and the Tobacco Vanille split 2. I received the Aventus several days ago but the TV hasn't arrived yet. Since it looks like Jeff is very busy, I was hoping the good folks here could help me out.

For those who paricipated in the Tobacco Vanille split 2, have you received your split yet? If so, can you let me know your location (country) and if you received a tracking number for the shipment. Thanks much - if you don't feel comfortable sharing this here, you could send me a pm.

For those interested, here's my situation in greater detail. I received the Aventus on Nov2 and it's been 11 days since then and I haven't received the TV yet. This worries me since the Aventus was shipped on Oct20 and the TV on Oct24, only 4 days apart, so my TV should be here by now. I am in Canada. Also, I received only 1 shipping tracker mail from Jeff, and it turned out to be the one for Aventus. So, I would appreciate a response from the other folks who participated in the TV split (or from Jeff, if you see this).

I heard from Jeff, and wanted to post a quick update. I had opted in on the NdN split too, and in a case of mistaken/ confused identities, he decided to ship the TV and the NdN together to me (apparently, another participant in the splits had wanted the two to be shipped together, and Jeff had assumed that it was me that wanted this). So, all is well and the shipment is enroute

For others waiting to hear from him, it looks like Jeff has been very busy, and I'm sure he will be in touch with you soon.

I also got my Aventus, Tom Ford Noir de Noir and Tom Ford Amber Absolute on Saturday. I was a bit worried about the Amber Absolute as it was a blind buy but my worries soon faded away 5 minutes after I sprayed it on. Thanks Jeff!!!.

I got the TV and NdN today. As everyone has mentioned, professionally packed and mailed. More importantly though, it has been wonderful to interact with Jeff and exchange notes on fragrances with him. He's a great guy, and I'm sure everyone who participates in his splits will leave happy.

The package that was at the post office was SMW from Dullah's split. I live in Melbourne so I'll give it another week before I contact Jeff.

I'm very dissapointed, I've been trying to contact Jeff since november 13th to ask him if he can find out what happened with the shipment because it's been passed almost 2 months since he sent my part of an aventus split and i still don't receive it. I saw the tracking information in the usps website and it says the package was processed in miami on october 16th and that's all, no more information since then. Jeff doesn't even answer my emails and pm's to tell me something. I know it isn't his fault but he is the only one who can do something if the package is lost.
