New Fragrance: Joop! Homme Wild

Thread Starter
From nstperfume.com:

Joop! will launch Joop! Homme Wild, a new flanker to 1989′s Joop! Homme, in August:

Sometimes, you know youve got to be bad.

Bad boys get all the fun. They get the sexiest girls, the fastest cars and the thrills of adventure. They cross the line to walk on the wild side. They live free. So from time to time, you need to let go, to give in to temptation. Get a bike. Slip on a shredded pair of jeans and a black leather jacket. And wear a whiff of the new JOOP! HOMME WILD.

[...] JOOP! HOMME WILD is even more daring than its forerunner. It is also more openly seductive and was designed for the wild boy hiding inside each of us. The JOOP! HOMME WILD man is not afraid to stand out, to assert himself. He is a rebel, hence a seducer.

Developed by perfumer Aliénor Massenet, JOOP! HOMME WILD is an oriental fougère fragrance with many contrasts. It is built around a strong heart note of absolute rum. Seldom used in perfumery, it gives this fragrance a dark and luminous quality that perfectly expresses the strong and rebellious nature of the perfume. Absolute rum also brings an intoxicating and addictive touch of wild attraction.

A hot and vibrant base note of woody blond tobacco, brings warmth and sensuality to the Rum. and gives JOOP! HOMME WILD a velvety softness. In contrast with this voluptuousness, the sparkling top notes of pink pepper add a very dynamic and masculine touch.

Joop! Homme Wild will be available in 30, 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

Rum and Blond Tobacco! Sounds promising.

joopie!!!
I'm throwing money at the screen but nothing is happening.
I assume they mean rum absolute. Ah, Germans.
Be bad.
Get a bike.

(Best advise ever to be given by a commercial. ROFLMAO)
Tobacco, rum, pink pepper.. Actually sounds like it could be a winner.. Problem is Coty.

Joop! WILD ???????

OMG !

I think all citizens will awake when you're putting it on.
Any info on when this will be available in the UK?
Pass on this one.
Perhaps this will finally be a proper bad boy scent (unlike milkmaid scents like Dirty English and Sex Pistols who had been falsely advertised as such). I can't wait to unleash the Joop! Homme Wild man.
Joop is such a love it/hate it fragrance anyway, I wonder if this will remove some the polarization that it has created? I am optimistic, but not foolish.
Holds some promise, thanks for the heads up.

Sounds good but that bottle is ridiculous ...I know I know we don't wear the bottle

"JOOP! HOMME WILD is even more daring than its forerunner."

This line scares me.
Sounds like a twist that is similar to that of the Ck One series i.e. Ck One Shock
post #18 of 82
Ridiculous name. I'll pass on "Girls Gone Wild" The Fragrance.

This line scares me.

It scared me too after reading that.
But after seeing the notes, not so much.

This sounds kind of promising. I'm hoping for a pleasant surprise.
I'll be buying it just from this description alone.

Joop flankers just keep getting better and better - Thrill, Go, Electric Heat, Hot Contact - masterpieces, all of them.
They even went subtle with Splash!
Cheers,
Renato
This sounds kinda ....good. I think I gotta go back and read some of those reviews for the Joop! Homme flankers. My main issue with them is that they always seem to be out of stock or never around to buy.
Definitely interested in this. Always been curious about their flankers but have been unable to test any, so I'm hoping it makes it stateside and becomes readily available.

Real Men Wear Purple?

Joop! is the house you can trust to do just that. I love it already!

Available in August
keeping an eye out for this. Keeping with the legacy this one should pack a punch

If there is a house that is trying to find names for their fragrances that suck, then its Joop!
Damn The original is "bad" anough in its right. Can't wait to smell this one Joop! fan here
post #30 of 82
Wild sounds better than Extreme or Intense.

Sounds great, Joop + Rum. Score for me.
Interesting blend of notes in this one. I may just purchase this blindly as I hardly ever see any of their flankers in stores.
Yet another flanker from Joop. Can't they create a new original fragrance instead of a flanker to a fragrance that came out 23 years ago?
Any guesses on how much this will cost in dollars?
Even more daring and distinctive than Joop !?? ... Oh HELL, that means it's bound to be near nuclear then. (Something like the sort of fragrance 'Giger's Alien' might wear, for example. (LOL)

STILL, I do think the notes do sound quite promising & I am tentatively intrigued.
(Plus I do kinda have a thing for "purple". *blush* ~ [& yes 'teerose' I am indeed a real man - at least the last time I checked.])

Plus I'll bet it's going to be an even more hardcore luv\\hate humdinger than "Joop!-The-Timid".

"The-Absolute-Boozy-Purple-Monster-Slasher" - (I'm calling it now !)
I really get the feeling that, sometime around Halloween, I will stumble across this for sale while drunk and online and impulse buy it. I know that when I'm hammered and full of Halloween spirit I won't be able to resist that skull graphic, tombstone grey cap, and purple (my favorite color!) bottle.
I'm still waiting...

Where do Joop! flankers normally retail?
Joop has always been close to my heart. Wore it in the 80's and 90's. Don't wear it often nowadays but I still think it is great despite all the talk about it being synthetic, etc. Can't wait to take a sniff of the new juice.
now we're talking!
I love joop but I almost never like flankers from any house they just don't do it for me there is an original for a reason, but this intrigues me
post #40 of 82
Rage!!!!

I love the crazy pink bottle Joop! Homme has. This bottle is just mank. Still, how do you make a 'wild' version of something so wildly insane? Joop! Homme is already a wild version of Joop! Homme. Honestly I think they're going to tone it down. I'm still going to buy it to frighten my fiance. She hates waiting for the drydown on the original stuff.

If it really is a wild version though how the hell are we supposed to store it? The original is already locked away in my 'quarantine box,' and shoved up the back of my wardrobe so it doesn't invade my entire room with it's all-encompassing effluvia which it somehow does whenever I leave it out, even capped and boxed. Maybe I'm just too old to own a bottle with a cartoon skull on it.
I thought Joop!Homme was already a wild beast!

Where is Joop! Homme Intense? I've been long awaiting its release.

This sounds promising. I love the original Joop!, but I get a very...old-school feel out of it.
Joop! Homme Sport
Joop! Homme Nuit (featuring Oud)
And finally Joop! Homme Intense

But seriously, I am looking forward to this. Hopefully it is actually as strong (if not stronger) than the original.
Just hurry up and be in stores.
I just don't think that a scent with the power of Joop Homme will be made in these times let alone by Coty Prestige. I think they meant the note blast will be strong but not longevity or sillage....

Think about ..if that was the case of being a strong scent the price of this fragrance would be a $100 USD a bottle to make up for the lack of sales because a bottle last you so long. That is why Mugle's Angel for women is so much $$$ for less then a ounce while Amen you could get two large bottles for that price.
As much as I hate what you are saying I agree. Maybe it will be a sleeper, the 1 Million fans will keep dousing and people will see this as too tacky to try (ironic).
It never bothered anyone in the 80's when scents were so strong that 1 spray would clear out a building. I read somewhere (here I think) that frags for men were stronger to compete with women's or something.

@Vortex: Sick guitar man. Those pickups almost look active, I know they aren't but yeah
post #47 of 82
I always wished JOOP HOMME was from a niche house that only frag heads knew about lol - guilty pleasure
post #48 of 82
I might have missed it but has there been a release date set for this yet?

Not as of yet. Just "2012"
I'm hoping this one is a little more on the subtle side. Don't get me wrong, it should still have that Joop! "POW!" but I hope it is toned down enough to wear in close contact situations.

should be winning, if it can
I think I'll pass.
Rum is kind of interesting...

The bottle must be producing sound of starting Harley Davidson when you apply the scent

Regards, Odor.
I'll buy this if it´s already in the freeshop at the aeroport
post #54 of 82
So?How it is?
Read that it will be available around September 16th, according to an online retailer who plans to carry the frag.
It is available in Germany I just don't understand why none of our German members have reported back

you can also call it Joop! Homme Nice. Opening note is quite sweet, rum, tobacco... strongly reminds me of ck one Shock. Drydown is nice, nothing special or wild. I prefer the original.

How is the longevity and projection?
It smells a little sweet, a little cool, a little dry... a very common scent. It stays quite strong on my skin, more than 7hours.
