Montale 100 ml fragrance bottle does not feel like 100 ml

I don't know if it is the super light aluminum bottle, but when I received my box of Montale Black Aoud 100 ml yesterday...it felt like nothing is in the box.. the total feel of the bottle in hand feels very light... kind of like heavy air in a bottle...

Do not worry it's just the bottle I get the exact same feeling with my metal Rive Gauche bottle.

In other words, it felt about 1/4 the weight of a can of Pepsi?

Montale bottles are mostly like that.

90% of the weight of a fragrance bottle is the glass.

Yews, the bottle is very light being made of aluminum. Don't worry.

That's absolutely normal, my Red Vetyver bottle feels exactly the same.

Ditto. Perfumes come in heavy glass bottles for a reason: to make you feel like you aren't paying a fortune for a couple of ounces of alcohol with some scent mixed in (hah). The metal cans are actually much better for preserving the fragrance.

Come on, we already got it.

Dont, sometimes they are like that.

Supposedly the 100ml canisters are more than 100ml and therefore are not filled to the top but filled to 100ml.

I felt the same thing, but then I unscrewed the top and took a look, it's all there.

Really? so Montale fragrance should last longer than most fragrance?

It depends on how they are stored. Light is the most damaging to fragrances and this is why Montale uses opaque bottles. But in theory they only last longer than similar scents stored in glass bottles that are exposed to light. If you keep all your fragrances in the dark (e.g., by storing them in the original boxes) then the Montale probably wouldn't last much longer than the others. Any fragrance kept away from direct light and excessive heat should last for many years, however.

I feel the same with my 50ml too. The guys have said it already. It's the metal bottle.

Had the same experience...it's the aluminum canister.

Don't worry anyway: even a smaller amount of Montale juice is going to give you way more servings than almost any other.
