Does anyone else prefer Dior Homme to DHI?

Yes yet another DHI related thread! But right now DH and DHI are my two favorites, regardless of reformulations.

Maybe it's the time of year, but I am finding DH to be as close to a holy grail, signature scent than I've ever had. I find it very versatile, unique, and elegant.

While I also love DHI, I find it less versatile. I'm sure I wear it more often in the winter. I don't go clubbing and it seems a lot of the reviews mention this. It is clearly a gourmand which to me makes it less enticing as a work scent.

Anyone else love DH more than DHI?

(at least it wasnt another creed aventus thread!)

I tried DH once, and it just wasnt for me. Ive never smelt DHI before. If i dont like DH, will i not like DHI?

DHI is more gourmand. It has the same base of DH but different so I could see someone liking DHI but not DH.

In fact, when I first got DH I was unimpressed. Then I got a decant of DHI almost a year later. I was BLOWN AWAY by how much I liked DHI (I like gourmands). But then I went back to the DH bottle, which I hardly smelled, and gave it another try. I appreciated DH much more.

The joy of DHI made me appreciate DH MORE than I did before.

Yes, I like Dior Homme more. It's more subtle and more complex. It has facets. DHI is more linear and less interesting to me, although I do like both.

I like both but with the vintage DH I only get four hours where I get twelve hours with DHI. I find DH to be classy and chic and DHI to be sexy smooth nightime going out romantic frag. I like DHI the best.

I wouldn't say I really have a preference. I seem to like them both equally.

I doubt you would like it, it's just the same sickly, synthetic rubbish. I gave my vintage away as i couldn't stand it. Just as an alcoholic knows he's hit the bottom when he starts drinking meths, a fraghead knows he's hit the bottom when he starts to like DHI

I think I might slightly prefer DH to DHI, but if I do it's only slightly. For what it's worth, I also totally dig DHS.

I much prefer Dior Homme EDT Vintage than any version of DHI.

I like Dior Homme more....

DH is classy and smooth, DHI is sexy and smooth.

If I'm at work I will wear DH...if I'm going out that night with co-workers I will wear DHI....

I own and thoroughly enjoy both.

I agree with this. If I had to rank them: 1. Vintage DH, 2. Current DHI, 3. Vintage DHI, 4. Current DH.

But I do like all of them at least a bit. Current DHI is in my top five, which tells you where DH would be if it still smelled the same.

I much prefer my vintage Dior Homme EDT over vintage DHI (as the cocoa dry down in this one makes me smell like I just spilled hot chocolate drink on myself).

I'm actually wearing Dior Homme EDT right now in the 70 degree New York City weather, and it's perfect.

I have the original formulation of both and I prefer DH over DHI. That said, I love both.

I adore Dior Homme (masterpiece), but Dior Homme Intense is just what I am looking for in a fragrance, I prefer it to Dior Homme.

Have both love both, maybe DHI a bit more

I much prefer Dior Homme EDT over the Intense version, mainly because I love the Iris note (in the vintage version at least) and the enhanced complexity. My only gripe with it, is the minimal projection and longevity. That aside it's still a superior fragrance compared to it's Intense counterpart.

I love both as well. Its really hard for me to pick one over the other because I feel that they are suited for different occasions. If I am in suit, Dior Homme feels invincible. But when I am out in the night partying, DHI just feels sexy. So I guess it depends for me!

Dior homme Intense is absolutely nothing special to me. Reformulated Dior Homme is alright, but again nothing special.

Vintage Dior Homme EDT, however, is gorgeous. I adore it and I'm so happy to own a bottle of it.

In my case: no. I am simply belonging to the ones preferring DHI over DH.

I prefer Dior Homme!

I much prefer Dior Homme, although I still love DHI - it's just more my 'evening' scent.

Try doing close sprays, where the spritzer is almost touching your skin, and it should project and last longer (8+ hours on my skin).
