Headed to Dallas (from Miami) for the next two days...will make a stop at Barney's North Park

Lived in Dallas the last 2.5years but was not as obssessed with fragrances as I have been the last couple of months...since I moved back home.

I'm planning a visit to the Barney's in North park mall to take samples of

Le Labo - Rose 31
Frederic Malle- Portrait of a Lady

I will probably venture over to Neiman to smell Creed Windsor and get a sample of
Maison Francis Kurkdjian - Lumiere Noir as I took it on the card today and did not take a sample.

I spent most of the day today trying Creed and Tom Ford and a few others while really enjoying Aventus, Noir de Noir and Lumiere Noir

Can you recommend me anything else to try that may be carried at Barneys that is not at Neiman/saks/nordstrom?

Maybe some of the Heeleys. Don't recall if Niemans carries them, but don't think so.

Take a look at the Cereus Line! If you like fresh scents you'll love number 7.

Serge Lutens, Nasomattos, Comme de Garcons, L'Artisans.
Ask for Thomas at Barneys. If he is there he is very generous and knowledgeable.

Definitely spend some time with Thomas at Barneys, even if you don't have anything in particular you know you want to smell. He is passionate about fragrances and is always willing to spend as much time talking and sniffing with you as you want. He will definitely have something interesting for you to try that you might not have considered paying attention to otherwise. We always go there when we're in Dallas and we end up spending a lot more time than we planned for, but it's always a good experience. He's very helpful with samples as well.

The Frederic Malle rep (barbara) was very nice to me...she highly recommended Thomas and she pointed out his basenotes ability but unfortunately Thomas was not there.

I was a little upset but not directly at them that they switched me out of the glass atomizer samples they had given me into these small tupperware style containers...they ended up doing more damage than good as when I got hom from my trip although I tried my best to seal them...they had evaporated/leaked and I had very little bit left of my 3 samples..I still have enough of rose 31 and man2 to wear and I think I will like them...Portrait of a lady I definately think it's a great fragrance once it's dry down sets.
