Diptyque's Eau de Parfums are available, any thoughts on them?

I've received an email from a known french retailer that already have Philosykos and L'Ombre dans L'Eau available. I love these fragrances so i was tempted to pull the trigger. Luckily i calmed down waiting for some reviews or information.

Does anyone know if the smell of both have changed? are them stronger or longer lasting?

Thanks!

Wasn't aware that any of the Diptyque scents had changed, Only have all the original releases.

First in Fragrance has the complete line since some weeks. I, too, wonder wether Diptyque changed anything; in my case I would be interested in Eau Lente.

I hope they increased the strength of Philoskykos!!! I want a bottle so bad but the longevity issues scare me

It's about bloody time!

Are you sure that it's not just the bottle format that's changed?
I thought it was just a change of bottle design too.

No, take a look here:

It's the annouced EDP version of Philosykos. 95€ 75ml...they were supposed to be released later this year.

Strange... They haven't even updated the website with that. Anyhow I'm one of the few not-fans of Philosykos...

And what about the other EDP, L'ombre dans l'eau?
Do Son is supposed to get an EDP version too.

Lloyd i read on fragrantica that these edp's were being released later this year (october or so), so the email I got with this information caught me by surprise.

Ooh interesting! Thanks Postumo.

I'd be interested in Philosykos, but I'm scared they'd change how wonderful it already is...I don't find the strength to be too bad though, one aspect I like about it is it doesn't feel dense or heavy.....

Now, Do Son in EDP would be lovely!

I never found either to be fleeting.

That's what I fear, maybe they improve sillage or longevity but I don't want that if it means sacrifice their great smells.

I only know about L'OMBRE DANS L'EAU and PHILOSYKOS

That's it Roberte, those are the two that are already available. But there was a news on fragrantica that talked about DO SON being released as EDP too. Maybe in some time...

What about the perfume oils (7,5ml) of Phylosykos and L'Ombre Dans L'Eau?

Has anybody tried this?? Both sounds great and bottle is very elegant!

They had the PHILOSYKOS in my local SpaceNK today. Now I am not a fan of the original, don't do fig fragrances. To me its deeper and richer than the edt. I have washed my hands and can still smell it clearly on my skin.

No sign of L'Ombre Dans L'Eau, I own this in edt so really want to sniff the edp.

It costs £85 and I believe its the 100mls size.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by deeper donna? Is it still very figgy? More milky notes? Other notes?
Yes still very very figgy, that is what I mean about richer and deeper. Yes a I did get a milky vibe, not talking a bottle of milk, has a fruity sweetness. Actually as someone who is not a fan of the edt, I really liked it.

That sounds enticing, as what I don't like in Philosykos EDT is the excessive greenness. Milky and rich is more up my alley...

A richer Philosykos gets my interest... Donna, they're supposed to be 75ml.
I never actually looked at the size, the tester looked big so thought must be a 100mls.

omg.... must buy....

anyone know where the eau de parfums are on sale? I don't see anything about them on the website...

In the UK they have them in their London store(I have a sample of both and agree about Philosykos being stronger, haven't tried the otheryet or compared longevity). They're also available from the Liberty website in the UK who have Do Son listed as well but out of stock.

Wonderful news! Looking forward to getting the L'Ombre dans L'Eau.

I've already tried a couple of them recently.

Philosykos is definitely stronger and projects reasonable well for the first couple of hours. I didn't have it on all day so can't say much about longevity. However, I still got that two-dimensional/hollow vibe about it, so that's a deal-breaker for me.

I also sampled L'Ombre dans L'Eau and was somewhat disappointed. It smells pretty identical to the EDT and that's my gripe with it. I was at least expecting it to be a fraction darker or greener but it wasn't. I only sprayed it on some card, so can't say anymore. I'll try and test it again sometime.

Still waiting for Eau Lente...

The impression that I'm getting from these EDPs is that Diptyque is trying very hard NOT to offend anyone (let alone disappoint). I would have preferred a bit more edge, with the odd star note amplified even more.
