Not at all! We do not get many deliveries.

How many things that you ordered, failed to be delivered to you, so that you had to get a refund?

Cake, any kind except dreaded carrot.

when someone upsets you, what do you do, tell them or just brush it off?
Usually I tell them, but it depends on whether they are important to me or if I want to maintain a relationship with them. If a random stranger upsets me, I brush it off. And if on reflection I decide that I was just being touchy, then I just let it go. Not everything is worth talking out.

SQ
I agree with 30 Roses.
If it is a relative stranger - believe me - strangers will tell you all sorts of things without realising they are being hurtful or it's not their place to say... I hate to say this but I strike them from my life , I don't give them another thought. I cannot afford to have that kind of negativity around me. It's a question of my own survival , as terrible as that sounds.

SQ
I agree. If it is an important person and it keeps bothering me I better to work it through with that person. I used to have a friend who did it constantly to everyone around her, that was just her nature. But after brushing it off for six years I finally had enough. I believe it is important to maintain balance - let go when it is really not that big of a deal or deal with it if it is.

I simply choose not to lower myself to their level.

Which country that you have traveled to would you go back to time and time again?
South Korea - the food alone would make me go back time and time again.

On a same note - which cuisine is your favorite?
Various ethnic themed cuisines, the more authentic and less homogenized, the better, but Italian and French must be the top on my list (plus Swiss, Belgian and Austrian influences concerning strictly sweets & chocolates).

What is your favorite spice/seasoning (mixes of spices also allowed)?
Any kind of pepper really.

Have you ever 'interrupted' a thread because you thought a topic/comment wasn't cool, or do you brush those off as well?
Not, but will really think about.

SQ.
I don't think I have interrupted a thread.....I'm close to being here 10 years.....I can't remember ever doing this!!!

I think one must always consider whether one has misunderstood the intentions or the meaning of the poster. It's easy to make assumptions.

How can we make BN a better place?
I think perhaps acceptance of others is key and a degree of understanding . Just taking people for who they are and understanding that sometimes it's easy to misconstrue what another has written . Thinking twice at least, before posting harsh words too .

Mimi words + patience to newbies that have not the level of knowledge of older members.

Sorry! Do you believe that taking part in a discussion is to go down from your level? In wich situations and what is to go down the level to you?

If it's not clear, feel free to ask again.
OK, I think I understand. There is still a great deal I don't know about perfumes, even if I've been on here nearly 5 years. But not every topic interest me, so I pick and choose the ones that do interest me or the ones where I feel like I have something I can contribute.

Do you read any other fragrance forums? Favorite blogs?
No, I'm only here.

What's the best book you have read until now?
I read voraciously (mostly nonfiction); it is impossible to pick the best book.
But I will pick one novel that I have read and re-read, and expect to re-read again and again over the years: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

SQ
Memoirs Of A Geisha - Forget the film the book is really good, the characters really come to life.

Mine is a well known, 'religious' book,...just not posting the proper title in case of forum rules violation. Don't think it would be a problem but idk. I'd rather just be sure I am obeying the rules here.

Is there one food or drink that's not sold/offered any more that you wish would come back? (mine, blueberry frap, limited edition, at Sbux).
Corn that tastes like corn instead of candy (i.e., "sweet corn"). I don't think they even grow normal corn any more.

(For the book question: Delillo's Underworld, both because it's a masterpiece and it was the perfect thing to read at that point in my life.)

Would you rather meet people out in a restaurant or bar or have them over for drinks and dinner?
Bar is more like how I preffer to meet them. Formal occasions requires a more serious talk.

What's happiness to you?
Happiness is peace of mind.

SQ
Just gotta say, no, they don't grow normal corn anymore..all gmo probably.

Being grateful for every blessing.

Pet peeve at the dinner table?(mine, cell phones and people who want to debate. I just can't stand when people want to suddenly debate, like they are looking for a heated debate, and I am not a debater. Just chill and let me have my mashed potatoes, you know?). lol.
Brian, you hit the nail on the head with the corn. I asked someone a couple of years ago if you can't get "just corn" anymore, is it all like the peaches and cream stuff. And they said, "oh, you want cow corn ?" I guess I must mean cow corn.
I just want plain old corn so I guess I'll have to go and hit one of the few farmers' corn fields that they have around here!

My pet peeve at the dinner table - me too Kalli - on the cell phones and texting. Talk in "person" for pete's sake!

How many days of rain does it take for you to feel you're tired of it?

Carpet or hardwood floors?
Hardwood.

Portrait or landscape?
Hard! Love both! Maybe landscape better.

Most beautiful lasdscape you've ever seen? Do you have any photo to post for us?
Montague/High Point, New Jersey.

Which gives you the greater emotional response a landscape or a seascape, and why?
Seascape. I think the fact that the ocean seems mysterious and endless is what draws me to it. I love the thought of being on the edge of a continent with all the world behind me. Not to mention the breathtaking beauty of waves crashing upon a shore. I don't really think I have the words that can adequately express how I feel.

The exact opposite for me. I don't mess with the ocean. I respect it and it respects me. Besides I'd rather hunt than fish.

Have you ever had the feeling that someone is looking at you, and, when you look up or scan the surroundings, you do notice an individual looking at you?

Nope.

Did you take musical instrument lessons as a child, and, if so, which?
I desperately wanted to take piano, but we had neither the space not the funds for one, so I had the flute foisted on me. I played it at school music class for 2 years, reluctantly, and then dropped it.

In later years I picked it up and played a bit (by ear) to amuse myself, but my cat Was Not Amused. I still have it; I even refurbished it and replaced all the pads thinking I would play it again, but my current cat wouldn't like it either. Really I ought to sell it.

SQ
Yes I had piano lessons and frankly ... I hated every minute of it ! *LOL* I had a teacher who loved to rap our knuckles with a ruler and little Mimi was not amused. I was 6 years old and she slapped me once so I slapped her back. *shock * What a terrible child .... I know. I would have been much happier tap dancing .

Have you ever had stage fright ?
Yes, but only before going on stage.

Is there really a difference between Country and Western music for you?

Cheers,

Mario
