L'Artisan Piment Brulant - any enthusiasts here?

I'd been aware of this stuff for a while, taking the odd sniff and enjoying it, but seeing in the L'Artisan sale finally persuaded me to make a purchase.

It's tart, citric, refreshing and reminiscent of cut bell peppers and chillis (both green and red). It's surprisingly powerful humming away in the background - then you get a strong waft of it every so often. I like it because it's very different from all the other scents in my small collection and is an alternative to the usual citric colognes I'm used to. It's extremely impressive.

However, I haven't read much about it here, curiously. What do others feel about it?

There seems to be so few people who love this one, I'm actually surprised L'Artisan still makes it but I'm glad they do. It's easily one of my favorite fragrances and so refreshing in summer. Freshly cut bell peppers and a kind of "watery" aspect to it.. it's one of those scents that's not a gourmand yet I find myself sometimes craving to wear it. Really amazing juice and very underrated.

I'm seriously interested in trying this after seeing what Pimento can do in the new Interlude Man - sounds great.

I have this fragrance as part of the trio "Les epices de la Passion". Not exactly a love potion, but refreshingly spicy with a touch of chocolate like creaminess.

Ah - good to see fans here. I'd put it in the 'modern composition' bracket as it doesn't really have a traditional structure. Extremely compelling, vibrant juice, for sure.

Count me as a fan. I have a small bottle with not much left and I am considering buying more. I like the interplay between sweet and spicy.

It needs a stronger vanilla-chocolate base to soften its fiery pepper note. Perhaps a reformulation is in order?

But I think that would make it like so many other frags. One of the things I like about it is its lack of a heavy vanilla base (or similar). It makes a nice refreshing change.
