However, they instead shipped me a wrong bottle of 34 boulevard saint germain. (which is actually also pretty nice)

ALZD's customer service was very helpful and still top notch though. I'll be returning the bottle back and getting a refund.

Agree on everything. You really need to put your hands on L'Eau Mage before it's too late....

I'm really enjoying it. Its VERY masculine and has a slightly oddball resinous fruity tinge running through what is predominantly a HQ smokey chypre base. Its a little confusing at first but its very enjoyable to wear and in a different league of interest compared to the (IMHO) massively dissapointing Honour Man.

It puts me in a similar mindset of Montale Dark Aoud where its quite ballsy and has a little sinister streak about it. Good stuff.

a favourite of mine too. cannot say the same about their latest releases, 'white, red and black' and 'amazingreen', disappointing! i think they are attempting to break the mainstream market and it's just sad but i guess it makes sense from a business point of view. talking about amazingreen, he 'flint/gunpowder accord' and smoke and vetiver are non existent, the only thing i'm smelling is the so called 'jungle leaves' and 'palm tree' as the first thought that popped to my mind when smelling it was 'damn, amazonian rainforest!!'.

Is it your picture volley? I unceremoniously stole it from a google search rather than uploading myself!

Patchouli 24 has gotten me compliments from a sample, so super pleased to have it in my collection, a fantastic fragrance!

I know it's summer, but hey, I found it at a good deal so:

It's the new packaging but the content smells like I remember it and it's also long-lasting on my skin.

Sweet Redemption. My first Kilian. I'm closing a chapter in my life, and the narrative for this one is "the end," so it was just the push off the ledge that I needed! And the packaging! I'm such a sucker for that!

Picked up a bottle of New York Oud by Bond No. 9.

... welcome home my Amouage Interlude Man ...

An attractive smoky sweet leather scent. It is incens-y, boozy. Not in-your-face like some other Amouage scent, Interlude is quite dreamy. If you find OpusIV or IV is too much, then Interlude is the right answer. With one spray, Interlude can be your signature summer scent.

Chanel Cuir de Russie Parfum.

Comme des Garçons Ouarzazate. The comme des garcons store was very different - only the cdg play fragrances were displayed - the testers for all the other cdg fragrances were tucked away in one drawer.

just arrived with the special courier last night so i'm giving it a full wearing today (the cold-ish, wet & grey london day helps), my first from this house (after extensive testing, i've narrowed it down to this one and 'memoir' which should be mine before the end of the year). i also like the personal touch of that little message and signature, i find it quite a smart idea. leave it to the ultra commercially savvy people of the middle east to think of something like this:

First post.

I'm away on vacation with my girlfriend and walked in to a local store and found a bottle of Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Noir Absolu.
I already got three of the summer editions at home and thought that this would be a nice addition to them.
I decided to try the Noir on one hand and Intense on the other, waited a while and asked my gf what she thought.
She liked Noir best so I bought it and walked away. During our lunch I smelled on the Noir hand and disliked the scent more and more so after lunch I walked right back to the store and changed it to a Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Homme instead.

So in addition to the above gifts, I treated myself to Pure Malt (finally)! Should have a second bottle in a week or so following a trade with a fellow basenoter:

My girlfriend also indulged me in my hobby for my birthday and treated me to a couple of Tom Ford's

It's been quite a week!
