I'm currently reading the autobiography of Mark E. Smith and it inspired me to listen to The Fall albums in chronological order.

So far I have listened to Live at the Witch Trials, Dragnet, Grotesque (After the Gramme), Slates, Hex Enduction Hour, Room to Live (Undilutable Slang Truth!) and now I'm listening to Perverted by Language. Still 22 albums to go!

Cool, that sounds like an adventure. What brought on this Fall infatuation?

I think I only have Live at the Witch Trials and Grotesque and 50 Thousand Fall Fans compilation, but you've inspired me to pull one of them from the stacks for a spin. In the mean time...

The Fall was one of those "love at first hearing" cases. Bingo Master's Breakout was the first song I heard. The first album I bought was The Palace of Swords Reversed, a compilation.

Right now I'm listening to The Wonderful and Frightening World of The Fall, next - This Nation's Saving Grace

This is what I'm listening to at this particular moment, but be sure to listen to anything else by Warren Zevon. He never produced a song during his career that I disliked. Warren Zevon, Excitable Boy, Bad Luck Streak in Dancing School, Sentimental Hygiene... great albums

Hanging Garden - Hanging Garden

They really changed their sound for this album. Far more weary and melancholic than on their self titled, which was a bit more on the aggressive side. Unfortunately this will be their last album. DSBM artists never really stick around for long.
