OMG. New frag delivered from UPS is really really warm.

I ordered a fragrance (Cool Water) from amazon. It just arrived today. Unfortuneatly it was on the UPS truck since 7am this morning and it is now about 5pm. I got it directly from the drivers hands. I immediately noticed that the box was hot. When I opened it inside, the bottle felt really really warm. I sprayed it and the juice didn't feel warm to my skin and so far I haven't noticed any difference in smell. I plan on owning/using this bottle for at least 6 years so I cannot in anyway have the juice be even partially bad.

Do you guys/gals think my juice is ok?

What do you guys/gals do to prevent frags from sitting in hot delivery trucks all throughout shipment?

I know this fragrance is cheap and I would be out of my mind if it were high end niche but I am still a bit worried.

Its fine. Even if you buy a bottle from Macys at some point it was on a truck or boat or plane and was warm for at least a few hours.

Does anyone notice the irony in this story??? Cool water is warm?? Sorry OP - I hope it's fine

Should be fine. I've received many a warm bottle via UPS during the summer months and they were fine.

As others said. Besides, marine notes are nearly indestructible. I am convinced that even if left in the tropical sun for weeks, calone would still smell the same.

No worries. You're fine. Enjoy it.

Got a warm bottle from USPS earlier this week (100 degree F here). Juice is fine.

As already said, these have seen similar temps at some point on initial transfer and seem to do ok. At least it's not exposed to light.

Yeah that is true. At one point it was on a hot truck. I have smelled Cool Water that smelled bad. It must have been an old bottle. I believe it was at Ulta. They had a new and an old tester and I could smell the difference (unless it was recently reformulated).

Thanks for everyones' info. I am enjoying Cool water a lot. I don't know how I could have been without a bottle for over 10 years. The Cool Water I have now does smell a bit "tamed" from the one I had in the 90s.

God forbid - just think what 'the future' will think of us lot.
" They smelt of this ! Calone , they called it ! Ahhh, it must have been a great and precious commodity in their ancient days.... they may even have traded with it instead of money as there remains sooo much of it. " help !

OP-:don't worry - your scent will be fine. It gets up to over 100 F here in summer and my perfume is warm on delivery UPS ,fedex and USPS - never a problem yet.

I once forgot an entire shopping bag full of "Jicky" Eaux de parfum vapo recharges from Neiman Marcus (I bought all they had, 16 units) in the boot of my father's car, then left, and the next time I saw him, it was at least six months later, and they were still in the boot, having lived there baking over the course of the whole summer: I was certain they would be...ehm...."toast." BUT: They weren't! they were fine!

I know on MUA on the makeup board loads of members freaked at packages being very hot when arriving. They wonder if they liquid or wax style makeup is safe to use when it arrives?

LOL!!!

"Here, we have a hologram of one of the highly prized 'blue' fragrances. People of the time believed that wearing such fragrances would make them excel at primitive physical sports such as football and baseball. Fragrance myths were actually quite common in the 21st century. There was even a fragrance cult called The Creed. Several presidents and their wives were reportedly members of this secret society. There is today a bioperfume company called Hermès-Creed which alleges to have founded The Creed, but such self-aggrandizing tales are actually quite common in the microbial fashion industry."

It sounds like they delivered the wrong one!

The one time I got a hot package and sprayed it on myself I think it smelled a little bit less intense, but once it cooled down it smelled normal. Probably just a brain trick.

lol. Thank god I only got the 2.5 ounce bottle. If I bought the 4.2 ounce, I can pretty much guarantee the next 10 years

I wonder if the same can be said about natural perfumes? Most EOs deteriorate fast in heat and light.
