A*Men/TV/New Haarlem

I'm really enjoying A*Men original, Pure Malt, Pure Havane and Tobacco Vanille. Was looking into other fragrances with a similar style such as New Haarlem, Rochas Man and Musc Ravageur. I would obviously get some samples first but just wanted your opinions as to whether any of these 3 fragrances would bring anything different to the table than the ones I already own?

Cheers.

Rochas Man and Musc Ravageur are great frags, I'd recommend Givenchy Play Intense as well.

You'd love Guerlain Tonka Imperiale, For me its still the best Gourmand out there.

Agree

Musc Ravegeur would bring something new to your collection, the others you could somewhat pass, more so on Rochas in my opinion.

Totally agree. I think MR would be a very good addition to your collection. Personally I have Rochas Man too but I am no longer reaching for it since I've gotten my Pure Havane and MR. But if youre looking for something cheaper, Rochas Man isnt that bad.

You should try A Taste of Heaven by Kilian. IMO, it brings gourmand to a whole new level. A very classy scent.

Musc Ravageur is well worth a sample (or two). Don't be put off by its initial smell; let it dry down a few times and see if it morphs into something wonderful. New Haarlem is a great scent, too, and I reach for it now when I used to reach for TV.

Personally, I think Rochas Man is a notch below those two, but it is much cheaper, too.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will look into all the ones mentioned.

If you like cinammon, Musc Ravageur offers plenty especially for the first hour. The drydown smells amazing as dark vanilla and tonka notes come forth. It really is a great scent that is worth checking out. I'm a fan of all the fragrances you've mentioned.

I agree it's an amazing scent, and actually I find it quite masculine ( so does my GF)

Both Musc Ravaguer and New Haarlem are both definitely worth adding. I'll throw in the following too: Back to Black, Coromandel, SDV, Tonka Imperial and if you're feeling adventurous Absolue pour le soir.

New Haarlem is a longevity beast with great projection. The closest alternative to the smell would be rochas which is pretty good. I'd even say if I smelled rochas while sampling NH I may have gone with the rochas... Go for MR ive never smelled it but it seems to be the most unique, i think this post just sparked my interest in MR! (on my way to fragrancenet)

Musc Ravageur is definitely worth trying, some say the opening is harsh but I personally like it, the drydown is even better and yes, I believe it will bring something different and special to the table.

Cheers guys, looks like I'll be making a visit to Harrods/Liberty's in the next few weeks . I know Liberty's stocks the Malle line. Does anyone know if Harrod's has the full Bond line? On their website they just seem to have the Harrod's exclusives.

Found New Haarlem pretty cheap at this site: http://www.perfume-click.co.uk/Perfu...-Haarlem/8229/

Anybody used them before?
