Describe me the cumin in Kingdom, please!

Hello gals (and guys chiming in):
I've been meaning to get a bottle of Alexander McQueen's Kingdom. I just got to have that beautiful weird bottle, and the notes of the fragrance sound intriguing as well.
Now, I have already looked around BN and the general consensus is that it is pretty unisex, but I still have no clue as to what it smells similar to.
All the negative comments about B.O. seem to come from its cumin. How heavy is this on the cumin? I love cumin in Parfum d'Empire's Aziyadé, for example. Is it comparable?

Thanks for your comments!

I'm a guy and I wear Kingdom fairly frequently. Honestly, there's nothing I've tried that's really similar to this. There's definitely a lot of cumin in there, and it does give the scent a strong body-odor vibe. It's more of a sexy body odor than the body odor of someone who has been laboring in the heat and hasn't showered in three days. But there's a lot more as well. You get the cumin right at the top, but there are also very bright citrus notes, of which lemon is the most prominent (to me at least). As you get into the heart, the floral notes start to become more prominent, especially the rose. The base is musky and a bit ambery.

Hm, cumin, rose, lemon and amber are some of my favourite notes. Thanks for the explanation, I thought of that body odor thing as a "construction worker heading home after a hot humid July day". I may definitely give this one a shot!

Maybe a construction worker who has worked eight hours on a hot, humid July day and has just had sex with his wife.

With florals and cumin, it smells like the sexy armpit of a perfumed man.

Well that sounds good to me

Someone once described it as like a hooker eating a burrito. LOL

I only have the first limited summer edition which I got really cheap long ago.

LOL. If anything, this fragrance should be taken into regard for evoking such extravagant images

Armpit of an angel.

It is not a challenging fragrance at all - it was my signature for about a year when I was 16
It's a lovely spicy rose - extremely warm - sweaty but not at all in an unappetizing off putting way - it isn't sour or stale, it's fresh and juicy. If you're fine with Aziyade (which is a fantastic fragrance), this will be to your taste also. It is really lovely.

That has made my decision: if it is comparable to Aziyadé and, as I recently read, also similar to Rose Poivrée, which I also like a lot, then I am pretty sure that I'll like it.
Thanks, guys and gals!

Thanks, guys and gals!

You'll love it - even if it is desperately overpriced now it is discontinued and people are paying it recognition - when I used to buy it I always found it in TK Maxx for £15 for 50ml!! Insane.
It's a beautiful bottle, beautiful fragrance - you've made me crave it again, need to track some down!

I also enjoy Rose Poivree but I LOVE Kingdom. The only fragrance of which I have hoarded two backup bottles. Ehm...

I find Kingdom has more cumin and it is much more sexy than Rose Poivree. It has a wonderful warmth which makes me think of hot bodies, specifically the smell of skin right after amorous activities. One of the few scents my bf does enjoy on me, though it does not give him the same associations as to me.

Maybe it does, if he enjoys it so much
I am definitely going to get a reasonably priced bottle.
