Lazy perfumed day for me, another one from the summer in the city style.

Today I'm smelling with something new, I got a sample from a swap and I'm glad I did because I think I'm in love now. Gotta buy a bottle! Acqua di Parma Iris Nobile in EDP is what I'm talking about.

After an absurd 3-5x a day sampling over-indulgence in favored candy-sweet patchoulis, vintage buttressed mansion queen scents, ill-fitting masculines, and cheap but cheerfuls ... I need a palate cleanse. Comme des Garcons original parfum is my go-to overindulgence remover. I'll try to remain faithful to it all day with no tempting dips into sweets and playing with niche samples. This novice's nose needs a rest.

XXV after many moons of abstinence. what a mistake! doctor feel good on a sunny winter day. also, I used to think I'll savour my 100ml for very special moments. now I would require something to stop me using it daily.

Pour moi...the TOTALLY evocative Field Notes From Paris...a sample from the inimitable Ineke. (I just LUVLUVLUV this house.)

Of all the notes in this (to me) very Parisian frag the tobacco and orange flower (a top note) linger longest. Go explain.

I'm going to copy you, A&I !!!!!! Yesterday I was a vintage G-Gentleman "outer" (as opposed to inner) wearing Lothario--so much attention--and then I just must keep dipping into my Bal a Versailles (even though I'm NOT ALLOWED to smell it before September!) before I go to bed. I'm going to be: SO 90's Today.....and wear COMME DES GARCONScomme des garcons......and maybe get myself thrown out of somewhere. I'm getting bored.

Voleur de Roses by L’Artisan Parfumeur

A rose garden after a thunderstorm. Not a manicured, orderly rose garden, but one that has become unruly, with brambles and a quilt of petals upon the ground. An almost forgotten garden. A place that guards its secrets. You can smell the rich, wet earth and the lightning-swept air and an abundance of roses in various stages of bloom. You can sense the intrigue that clings like an unseen mist. An unforgettable marriage of rose and patchouli, with just a hint of plum. Regal, enigmatic and absolutely gorgeous.
