TdH Parfum vs Musc Ravageur

Hi guys!

I know these two fragrances can be a world apart, but I was told to choose between them for my coming birthday present. I know the price difference is quite huge too but its going to be a 200ml TdH (though I dont think I will use that much haha).

I love both and I have a decant of MR now. I know TdH will be more versatile but I love MR too.

Based on my current wardrobe, which would probably fit in better?

Thanks!

I have the TDH Pure Parfum and a decant of Musc Ravageur. While the TDH is more of an everyday people pleaser and MR smells like an old man at the zoo, I'd personally take MR. The drydown is very nice and TDH is boring IMHO.

Love versus versatile? I'd go for love....hence, my vote goes to MR.

Nice gifts...
I'd go with the versatility of TdH. While I like MR, I just don't find it worth the exorbitant price.

This is a tough one, as I love and have both, but I'd go with Terre D'Hermes.

ahhh as it stands it 2 votes each. actually I am in a serious dilemma right now. I feel that TdH is almost like a staple in most wardrobes as it is something I will reach out for when I dont know what to wear. Then again, some cooler nights call for MR right? Hahaha now I am really confused!

Musc Ravageur. It is more special so should be given as a special gift. You can buy TDH anytime later (if you still love it)

Musc Ravageur (my guilty pleasure).

Go for the MR. The Terre De Hermes Parfum was really off putting to me. The EDT however is fairly decent.

No competition here.. Musc Ravageur!

Go for MR

Both would compliment your wardrobe but I like MR more so I'd go for that first.

MR, please. It's your day. So you need a special scent. TdH is everywhere, that makes this scent smell boring

another for Musc Ravageur

Musc Ravageur, my SOTD yesterday.
I like MR, but love the TdH parfum... That would be my choice.
No contest, Musc Ravaguer all the way.
Musc Ravageur would make a much nicer present.

..But I can't stand any iteration of Terre d'Hermes.
I dislike Tdh so it's MR.
MR because MR is a special gift - and that's what you're getting. You can pick up some TdH on sale somewhere later.....
I'm going against the grain here. MR reminds me of Dior Homme Intense which I absolutely hate. So I'd go with Terre d'Hermes.

teemas, your current top 5 - I like it apart from Aventus being number 1 - is sweet enough, I think it's time for you to add some scent with (back)-bone and that would be Terre d'Hermès Parfum. Else you might be able to choose between "Fifty shades of sweet" but not that simpler, straight, "swiss-knife" (remembering some recent thread) "tool" as which I'd describe Terre d'Hermès Parfum. :-)

Without hesitation, MR.

Yes ... MR all the way.

Musc Ravageur by a lot. MR's drydown is sex in a bottle. TDHPP is body odor in a bottle.

Thanks for all the inputs! I figured that I would go for MR and maybe settle for TdH later on.

Well obviously MR is trending quite well

IF I was going to get TDH (and I like it a lot I might add) I'd actually get the EDT version. I think it projects better and lasts longer.

Hahah yea it seems like most people love MR here Not that TdH itself is bad. I've tried the EDT and I find myself loving the EDP more because of the longevity. Probably its the difference in our skin chemistry.

Well I used to love TdH but we fell out badly. I dislike MR for being not as billed though I think it smells perfectly OK. However completely objectively, and knowing that people love both of these frags I would say go for the MR because it's more of a special gift-type fragrance while you can come by TdH pretty cheaply and easily yourself.
