Bvlgari BLV

Recently got my hands on a couple of Bvlgari bottles, and BLV kind of caught my interest. The opening to me was like smelling ginger ale, for some reason. It smelled like soda. Then it kind of turned into some kind of soap-y powder type smell.

It seems like it's one of Bvlgari's least appreciated, at least that's my impression, what do you guys think of it?

I've never smelled the female version, but I've heard it's very similar.

I personally didn't care for it when I tried it. Found it pretty generic.

I LOVE it, but I like fresh, clean, easy to wear fragrances that others might consider boring. I'm not interested in challenging, hard to wear scents.

I didn't care for it when I first got it a few years ago. But then I found it while digging through my samples a few weeks ago, and now I think it's great. Just bought a bottle of it, and Blv Notte too. Funny how tastes change.

Clean scent for a daily use... good longevity & sillage on my skin. This fragrance & Bvlgari Black are the best Bvlgari´s fragrances for ME.

Some of my first buys were Blv pour Homme and Blv Notte pour Homme (even a large bottle of the latter). I never really warmed up to either of them. Blv pour Homme was such a penetrating fragrance, a mix of everything soapy. Longevity of both was not ideal. I always liked Blv Notte, the one for women, though.

While I admire creations like Bvlgari pour Homme, Black and some females (especially Omnia Amethyste, the incorporation of a young, blonde, blve-eyed girl) I think Bvlgari indeed had a Blves when creating this line.

I own two big bottles of Blv, and one is nearly empty now. It's my favourite Bvlgari by far. The ginger note is what does it for me.

Blv Notte was similar, but didn't grab me as much - though it was good that this "night" version wasn't something totally unrelated to the standard version.

Fred Hayman 273 Indigo is very similar to Blv, but with a bit more lasting power.

I fell in love with Blu when it was first introduced, and it was my "signature scent" for several years. Clean, fresh, gingery, and slightly powdery -- a winning combination for an everyday cologne.

I know Blu doesn't get much love, and most agree with Hednic's verdict ("pretty generic"). Personally, I don't think it is. I've yet to find a scent like it that fits the bill when I want a clean smell for work. I tried Gendarme and Mugler Cologne, but I still prefer Blu.

There was a rumor that it was going to be discontinued, FYI, but I don't know if that's tru.

I used to own this frag along with BLV Notte and like both - however, it wasn't a bottle I reached for very often and sold it a few months after I bought it. From the house of Bvlgari, I tend to agree with most that Black is my favorite.

Amazing scent. Notte is even better, smoother, more elegant. I will be wearing this to my brother's wedding in a few weeks,

I like all Bvlgari line albeit it's not appreciated by fragrance lovers.
