My favorite drink from the cafe at the hotel where I work: 10-12 shots of espresso poured over ice....don't worry: I ask for decaf shots. And the barista lets me have it for the same price at coffee of the day! Just black for me(no cream or sugar).

^ Oh, that sounds good, Ken - I haven't had an Irish Coffee in ages. Do you make yours with Irish Whiskey?

I'm having Café Du Monde with chicory, from my French press, with a bit of hot milk ...mmm, perfect.

No, to my shame, I must confess that I made mine with blended scotch. Even so, Irish coffee is genuinely a mental stimulant, energizing (but not necessarily energy drink-style), but equally comforting, stress-alleviating beverage and, also, one of the few coffee-based cocktails/mixed drinks I actually enjoy.

Nothing to be ashamed about - just enjoy! It might make scotch connoisseurs cringe, but I generally use bourbon whenever a drink calls for whiskey, with no apologies.

Don't really do the caffeine thing. To much caffeine makes me jittery and tweaks me out a bit. Not worth how it makes my body react.
