Need a powdery recommendation

Thread Starter
I've been wearing orientals, flowery and vanilla frags for the last 3 years and I'm a bit tired of those.

I like Boudoir by Vivian and am looking for something comparable. any recommendations?

I adore Boudoir and wore it solely for years.

Try:
Putain Des Palaces by Etat Libre D'Orange
Cuir Ottoman by Parfum D'Empire

have you tried the discontinued Anglomania by Westwood? It's lovely
For pure powder try:

Loukhoum by Keiko Mecheri
Also Rien by Etat Libre D'Orange (if you can get past the opening)

Chypre Palatin by MDCI. The biggest complaint on the men's forum is it's too powdery. This scent would be seductive on a woman.

Pure Powder recommendations :
Teint de Neige by Lorenzo Villoresi - the mother of powder.
Similar to the Lorenzo Villoresi but expensive stuff- Soavissima by Profumum.
+1 for Loukhoum by Keiko Mecheri .

Iris Powder - Farmacia Annunziata 450
Lavender Powder - Noblige by Laboratorio Olfattivo
incredible personal powder, a bit flowery - IO by Hilde Soliani Gli Invisibili

Seems, like especially italian brands love powdery scents!

Try chypres that have a good dose of moss. This fragrance type will give a powdery experince minus the oriental portion. Explore around a bit though, chypre's can range from very fruity to very dry with no florals.

Alamut - Lorenzo Villoresi

Scrumptious powdery.

My favorite powdery scent is Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum Eau Poudree. The notes are white rose, orris powder, green of violets, narcissus, candied almond notes, Madagascar vanilla, crystalline musk. Very pretty fragrance, powdery and feminine.

Diane by Diane von Furstenberg is a powder bomb. Not sweet, and has sort of a 70s vibe.

Montale Sweet Oriental Dream. The powder in this is incredible- applying it to the neck isn't a good idea, can make you feel like you're inhaling chalk dust!

1. Classic: Good old Shalimar is an archetypal powder or Guerlain Meteorites (I've only ever smelled this on others but wow-der!). Both are seductive like Boudoir.

2. Playful: Tocade is super powdery, but I'd recommend finding a slightly older bottle. The new reform is sort of plastic. Royal Bain de Caron and its twin descendent Kenzo Flower.

3. Quiet: Love, Chloe is more straight-up powder musk with some rice, but is considerably gentler than Boudoir.

4. Niche: whatever has huge iris: Malle's Iris Poudre.
