Love Derby and Habit Rouge, will I Like Heritage?

Im a lover of Habit Rouge (specially the magical Parfum Version) and Derby (oh Derby...). I think that Derby is in my Top5 of all time favorites.

Heritage is sweet as those?

Would be a good purchase for me?
Its called an oriental but people compare it with Bois du Portugal (which i find great stuff but its very dry and nothing sweet)

I can't speak for the current formulations.

However, I always thought that Habit Rouge was a more daring fragrance than Héritage. While the first one has to be pulled of with a certain panache, Héritage strikes me as more sedate. Since you enjoy Derby though I think the probability of you liking Héritage is high. I doubt that it would be a risky buy, considering your already impressive wardrobe.

Heritage is beautiful. It is rich and sweet and totally Guerlain. I am on my second bottle.

Depends which version of Heritage you pick up. The EDT, EP and new formulation EDT are all quite different.

Most likely yes, but be aware that of the 3, Heritage is the one that has the most suffered from reformulation(s). To the point I think I like Chamade pour Homme better now. There is a nasty leather, ash topnote in Heritage EDT that has absolutely no business in this masterpiece and that wasn't there in the original formulation.

Derby and Habit Rouge are totally different from Héritage, so there is no reason why you should like it in relation to those two. Nevertheless I find Héritage the most beautiful Guerlain masculine, EDP & EDT. Try the EDT version; it's somewhat fresher and a little more sparkling in the opening than the EDP.

Derby is very dry to my nose and bitter as well.
Heritage is totally different animal. Very sweet and spicey. Heavy on the patchouly. To me it smells kind of dated. I would get Equipage by Hermes instead. #
So I do love Habit Rouge and like Derby to some extent but do not particularly like Heritage. It's a try before buy!

Heritage, especially the earlier version have a plum-prune note on my skin that sometimes I love, sometimes not.

Heritage is wonderful, the Edp is a different beast, rich, decadent and baroque, more close to Habit Rouge than the Heritage Edt version. Derby is a different kind of fragrance to me, on a certain point of view more close to the Heritage Edt. The latter is a lighter, more cedary, peppery (the spices are more detectable cause the vanilla is subdued) and subtle version, with a notable classic touch of bergamot-lavender (more long in the olfactory perception than in the EDP, in a general sharper and greener kind of balance). Heritage, a masterpiece in *each of its versions.

Probably. It's got a rich, mature edge that reminds me of Christmas parties of my childhood. It's got a bit of that aromatic fougere accord from things like Tsar, Jazz, Bois du Portugal, Zino, and Dali Pour Homme in the opening. The drydown is really really gorgeous, though, and I'd say superior to all of the above sans perhaps BdP. It has the most "Guerlanade" of the men's fragrance sans Mouchoir de Monsieur.

I love Guerlain - Habit Rouge and Derby are utter genius in my opinion. Heritage is very good too, but try Nicolai New York and also Zino. To my mind, New York is a very similar idea better executed. It is a little less loud than Heritage too, which I think is a good thing.

Have you smelled New York recently? I was disappointed from my new bottle, it felt toned down, lacking "overtones" and the drydown was even ugly compared to the bottle I bought 2 years ago. Is this possible?
