la nuit de l'homme v Spicebomb

Simple question to my spice lovers out there, which of the two do you prefer? YSL la nuit de l'homme or Viktor & Rolf's Spicebomb.

I am currently wearing both (well kind of - i sprayed one on each arm and I'm trying to decipher my favourite)
Spicebomb by far, I don't care for La Nuit at all.

Spicebomb, no competition.

by far??!!!

thats strong sentiment. i cant decide because although spicebomb is fruitier, it seems more linear and doesnt have the same projection.

Spicebomb.

I choose Spicebomb for both it's scent, and the fact that it's fun to take pics of.

I don't own either of them at the moment.
I might buy Spicebomb at some point.
It is pretty good but I am just not sure if it is something I need to add to my collection.
La Nuit is not very good and I won't even consider buying it.

Spice by far. Om nom nom.

La Nuit.

I have both and enjoy both very much. I prefer LN over spicebomb because it seems a bit more mature, grown up, than spicebomb. Spicebomb is a little too much like bubble gum, especially in the opening. Reminds me of One Million. La Nuit, I have found is better appreciated by a lady.
I both agree with senore01 that La Nuit de L'homme is better and the reasons why.

It far more sophisticated, elegant and sensual. Personally, I don't find them to even be that similar - cardamom is not even a note in Spicebomb.

Interesting that you chose to compare these two scents...but definitely La Nuit for me. It is incredibly warm, aromatic and perfect for intimacy.

Cheers.

Spicebomb. As many others have said, not even close.
Both are good but La Nuit is the more sophisticated and better made of the two.

Putting on Spicebomb gives you the illusion that you are outsmarting the guys in the club wearing One Million. La Nuit on the other hand actually outsmarts them.
If you're looking for actual spice, then don't buy either one. If you're just on the fence between these two, I prefer La Nuit.
La Nuit without a doubt my man
Seems to be a few strong sided opinions regarding these two. I have to side with Spicebomb, by far. Not a terribly big fan of La Nuit at all, and ended up selling my bottle a while back. Spicebomb I've tested for awhile and am sure I will be making a future purchase.

No contest - La Nuit

Oh, it's most definitely a contest. And actually, If I was to say "no contest"...it would be in favor of Spicebomb.

I agree with this 100%. Only rather than making a future purchase of Spicebomb, I've already bought it.

I owned (as in past tense) La Nuit De L'Homme. Initially, I liked it very much. But after wearing it several times over a couple of months time, it began to give me headaches. WAY too synthetic (and I like many synthetic fragrances). On the right person, I could see it being a good fragrance.....but it was way too synthetic and gave me headaches, so it had to go (I sold my bottle)

Spicebomb, though, I bought and still have....and I wear it occasionally. I enjoy the smell, don't get headaches from it, and it's a compliment getter. Also, as far as the longevity and projection comparison of the two, they're pretty comparable but I'd give Spicebomb the edge. A lot of fragrances simply don't last on me....but the other day, I did a test: Fahrenheit on one arm, Spicebomb on the other. Spicebomb projected just as well and lasted just as long as Fahrenheit.

And since I like it, it projects, and it lasts....it's a keeper. La Nuit, however, was not.

I prefer Spicebomb.
Spicebomb is quite good. La Nuit de l'Homme is quite horrendous.
Spicebomb by a mile. La Nuit is just too marginal for my taste. Just traded my bottle of it. 'Nuff said.
Hmm, I don't see any similarity. I'd get both if you can.
I can't really comment further until I get to wear Spicebomb more.
Spicebomb reminds me too much of a mixture of Tea for Two and Eau des Baux. While being way too cloying with the vanilla drydown.
Two of the most kick-ass flankers ever! Praise to the industry for both.

I'm surprised the vast majority chose spicebomb. i like the scent very much and it probably does smell nicer than la nuit, but i dont think it has the longevity and projection. it seems a few comments were made based on sampling spicebomb rather than owning.

ON ME....Spicebomb has BETTER projection and longevity than La Nuit. I realize this isn't an exact science, and results will vary depending on the user, but Spicebomb is actually one of the better fragrances in those two departments for me. Perhaps I'm just lucky, or have the perfect body chemistry for Spicebomb....who knows....but I'll take it.

Voting for Spicebomb.

la nuit for this guy
La nuit, there is something about Spicebomb that i just can get my nose to like (not that i want to like it)
Not a big fan of either. If I had to chose between the two it would be Spicebomb.
La Nuit.
man this is unbelievable i am the one and only person on this earth who didnt try Spicebomb !!

i know La nuit and its good but i read maybe over 50 posts how people said they love Spicebomb its unique and its incredible.

And if the majority say here SPicebomb (la nuit i know) then i should really blind buy Spicebomb
post #47 of 85
I enjoy Spicebomb more, my wife may prefer La Nuit, but she also likes Spicebomb. They're both good scents. La Nuit was just never a comfortable wear for me so I sold it.
They're not similar, but I prefer La Nuit. I do love Spicebomb though.

La Nuit, though I prefer Antidote to Spicebomb and La Nuit

Another for La Nuit
La Nuit. Tried Spicebomb twice and have no memories other than its a odd version of 1million. La Nuit is special.
spicebomb, BY FAR
After sampling both for a few days, I can easily say I like Spicebomb more.

I get no longevity issues either that others have claimed. Sprayed 1 shot to each wrist this am and can still smell it on my wrists even after running errands for most of the day.

Even bought the 90 ml bottle today for a good price.
I wouldn't even begin to compare these scents.
i think they have very different purposes.
La Nuit becasue it's much more mature and versatile. Spicebomb is overall a better, more original composition, but it is kind of a one trick pony. About the only place suitable for wearing Spicebomb is bars and clubs. It smells like candy, so it's like 1 Million in that sense. Even though I enjoy Spicebomb, I can't see myself wearing it enough to justify a purchase.
Spicebomb over la nuit

and yes, spicebomb does smell like 1million
