la nuit de l'homme v Spicebomb - Page 2

NEITHER

Spicebomb=Rubbing Dentyne Original Cinnamon gum on my body

La Nuit= Sweet Powder
neither are spicy fragrances.

I guess Spicebomb if I had to choose, but I'd argue you could do much better in this category.

Minutes 4-32: la nuit

Minutes 1-3(peppercorn) and 33-600: SPICEBOMB

LOL!

Be nice, Surfacing...

Cheers.

BTW - SOTE last night for me - Vintage Gianfranco Ferre for Man (After Shave layered with EdT) with just a couple of shots, for more vibrant top/heart notes, of current formulation EdT. But, we're given two options here...

Trying to get laid = Spicebomb
Knowing you're going to make love = La Nuit de L'Homme

Talk about a stretch.....

I'd be willing to bet that La Nuit has been worn by guys having to please themself at the end of the night way more times than those that ended up "making love"

I was weighing these two as welll. I ended up going with Spicebomb, as it felt richer and more complex to me. Certainly less "mature" than La Nuit but I wanted a going out scent at the time.

I have always preferred Suicide Pour Homme over these two.

Spicebomb dry down = blvgari black dry down just lighter + pink pepper
There's not a lot of mystery there but I think la nuit is in a league of its own
It's very unique and nothing really quite out there like it
Spicebomb is on a new hype and it will die down soon however you can't go wrong with either really
It's all personal preference i really really like spicebomb but I absolutely love la nuit
Everyone is made differently

Edit: I'd say spice bomb is in the same class as
Fierce, Joop, Cool Water, 1 million, black xs, rochas man etc
The college and under fragrances while la nuit is college and up

Spicebomb for me, wish they had the edp like flowerbomb though

Jay I still wear your La Nuit De L'homme that I swapped for often, in fact its my SOTD.

Spicebomb isn't bad, but it tries too hard, I would rather wear EDB.

Have both..... Love both.....

Anyone think spicebomb will come out w an edp instead of the edt? My gf have the flowerbomb and I love how it last for days on her clothes, spicebomb doesn't last like that
post #76 of 85
It is worth owning both. Each has its superb, distinct, qualities.

the only thing i ever got out of spicebomb is vanilla on the drydown.....booring and there are hundred of scents like it.....i would rather covere myself with real ethanol extract of vanilla beans before i wear this...to sweet and gourmond for my taste...a definite sweet sickening scent. sorry about the harsh review

My vote goes to La Nuit Le Parfum

While I found the opening to La Nuit le Parfum to be quite delightful, IIRC there was some tea note that I really enjoyed, Spicebomb was far less impressive, with no standout features nor does it live up to it's name at all, it's neither particularly spicy and it definitely isn't a bomb of any sort, more like a small firecracker if anything. I found it similar to Eau des Baux, which I preferred.

contrary to belief
La Nuit EDT and EDP are quite different

La Nuit EDP needs more exposure and appreciation (it's rare to find though)
