What people say when you wear Yatagan?

I like how different words i read about Yatagan:
"gorgeous",
"i have no use for it, my bottle is almost full",
"I use it as bedroom freshener"
"I wear it all year-around"
"Its fresh because of celery, then, it´s very dry"
"It's a leather saddle!"
"It's stinky, girls hate it"
"it' wonderful, my wife loves it"

What people around you say about it?
People love it whenever I wear it! I usually get a "manly" oriented compliment.
I've read a lot about Yatagan too! But like me, I think you need to get your hands on a sample & smell it for yourself
post #4 of 51
WORST fragrance I ever smelled!
Nothing - probably because they are too intimidated.

I should add that Yatagan was my ex g/f's mother's favorite scent out of my WHOLE wardrobe. Maybe it's a cougar catcher?

" Celery and gunpowder turn me on."

Cheers,

LOL. Awesome! Yatagan a cougar catcher and kouros a bitch catcher. Although, i hate kouros...

My wife surprised me when she said she loved it. The weather was cooler and she didn't recognise it from when I'd worn it in the summer. It certainly took on a different character. I love to wear it all year round and I get complimented on a clean and manly fragrance. Great juice!

"Didn't you take a shower today?"
"I will put on an extra pair of panties"
"Has my granddad been here?"
"You smell awesome!" (from a homeless person)

True stories.

Nothing

mmm… mustard.
Nothing, they just clear a path.

My wife: "You smell like a salad with dill". She likes salad and dill, so I guess this could be counted as a compliment.
"What the hell were you thinking?"

j/k

I got a compliment just 10 minutes after applying Yatagan today. Several more at School. Maybe my vegan chemistry makes this fragrance bloom!
I have never received a compliment one way or another wearing this scent.
I tested this one today and the first hour is a very weird dry, resinous, green smell that is truly unique. After that i t gets better but never gets beyond average. Turin says it's a masterpiece I'm not seeing it.

"Here.... take my lunch money"

'I surrender'
Nothing, but I loved it anyway.
Almost always get at least one compliment, which kind of surprises me in the current age of the fresh scent.
Does not smell very intimidating after the first few minutes. I think my wife is the only one who ever commented on it. Nothing exciting, something like, "That's nice...very masculine."
Nothing. The worst response of all: no response at all.

Hugely over-rated juice, mefinks...
Celery..
I also got a compliment from a hot cougar with the Yat. "Why do you smell so good?"
My wife bought me this a couple weeks ago. Its a pleasant scent i don't feel its a very strong fragrance. Its my SOTD with 6 srays. The wife commented it smelled pretty good she blind bought it for me.

" something smells like ramen noodles and christmas trees" from a student in 9th grade.
"God no, it smells like, like a used diaper... filled with... Indian food. Oh, excuse me."
"What is that? Smells like a turd covered in burnt hair."
"Smells like Bigfoot's di?$!"

Sorry. I had to. These are just what came to my mind. lol

Yatagan and The Third Man both have a permanent place in my fragrance collection...

I had a woman 10 years my senior ask me at a gorocery store what I was wearing. She took out out a pen and pencil from her purse and wrote it down. Found out during the conversation she wanted it for herself.

Guys, Yatagan i could not wear because it smell is just like a herb commonly used here in Brazil in some medicinal remedies. For me it´s JUST like "boldo".

"Together with litre, quillay, peumo, bollén and other indigenous plants, it is a characteristic component of the sclerophyllous forest endemic to central Chile. Its leaves, which have a strong, woody and slightly bitter flavor and camphor-like aroma, are used for culinary purposes, primarily in Latin America. The leaves are used in a similar manner to bay leaves and also used as a tisane, primarily in Chile, Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Brazil and bordering countries in South America."

I would literally have a 'wide circle of friends' if I ever wore this.

Interesting...my son (in 8th grade) said "It's like a giant bowl of ramen noodles!" I guess cedar-baseball glove flavor?

Lol,maybe. I can deal with people thinking I smell like a tree but I do not want to smell like the cheapest noodles on earth. I will have to find an interesting way to layer it before I can wear it to class again.

My girlfriend told me with a straight face that I smelled like a kebab.

Not quite the response I had hoped for...
... or from those in the know, yet mistaken:

"I say there natty fellow, that Les Copains Homme you're sporting suits you fine. Carry on."
Yatagan rocks!! people around it is secondary.
"Something smells like dirty celery in here."
"Open a window you reek!"
It smells like fresh metal to my nose. Quite pleasant. Reminds me a little of L'Anarchiste.
I don't care what they say, if anything. This is a great fragrance that I'll always have in my wardrobe. Wormwood, pine, and all things manly and aromatic. I love it.
Own it, keep trying to like it, but the celery thing is a bit much. Only worn it in public once or twice. Must try a serious road test and report back.
Yatagan isn't for everyone...it's definetly an acquired taste. Good thing i like it.
I haven't worn this in months and this week I had this craving for it. A co-worker said, "You smell very masculine today." I love this juice.
My wife said that Yatagan reminded her strongly of the elephant or rhino enclosures at the zoo.
She suggested I save it for those occasions we visit the zoo.
Cheers,
Renato

No stories about Yatagan, but I did slighty overdose once on Tabac Blond extrait and an amercan friend of mine Carl said I smelled like a 17th century whore.
We laughed about that all evening and he made wafting gestures everytime he came near me.
My daughter told me: "Dad, did you smoke marihuana!?".
"Somebody..please put me on fire!!"
I love the Yat.

One comment over the years, that's all. "You smell like a spice rack". ???!
I love Yatagan, my friends love Yatagan too.
Never got comments (bad or good).
One problem: it doesn't last long on my skin...
