It's not leathery like Knize Ten, Cuirnde Russe and Bandit. It's a sweet'ish violets, cardamom & leather with a subtle myrrh & sandalwood dry down.
I enjoyed the opening & dry down more than the...
Oh, c'mon, this is one of most lovely Guerlain creations... The drydown has a slightly powdery vanilla, which I love... Very delicate... A citrus raspberry sorbet enhanced with a extremely...

A very well blended vanilla, high quality stuff, with hints of orchid and dark chocolat, sometimes it reminds me of Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle, in the drydown. Must try! I really like it!
I recently discovered this beauty and I immediately fell in love with it. Omg what a gorgeous smell... It's very like the original, but this is sweeter, creamier, and more intense... The benzoin...
The Mopar Mountain Daredevils (must be a nod to the Ozark Mountain Daredevils) get a perfect 10 for 10 on the indecipherable lyrics scale. I could not pick out a single word, but for this tune maybe that is not such a big deal.

I am still listening to Bach Cello music today.
Lolz, the singer is Japanese (Cotton Casino from Acid Mothers Temple).
Wow, I kinda can't believe someone dropped Muslimgauze here, though I shouldn't be too surprised it was you, lolz. Good call. The only vinyl I have by him is the Zuriff Moussa LP. Everytime I come across one of his records they're always priced absurdly high. Luv the minimalist approach though, very atmospheric. Had to go dig this out as it's been awhile since I listened to it.

Play both clips at the same time for an instant remix.
Most of Voigt's recent releases have been bordering on 'performance art'. Even the techno - it's all wonky and erratic. Not my favorite of the Kompkat releases, that's for sure. So when I listened to a podcast recently I was pleasantly surprised to run into a Voigt track that (like his earlier Gas releases) took my breath away.
I have researched the Rückverzauberung Series (he released them on different record labels - which is confusing to track down/purchase) and whereas many of them are his trademark dark, unsettling, doom drone this one is so much more satisfying. Released on the Magazine label (a serial publication), I'm reminded of Gyorgy Ligeti and also Coldcut (in some of their darker ambient phases).

I currently own 37 Muslimgauze records but I'm still far from being halfway through his discography...good to know they're getting pricey though LOL
Dude, that's crazy! Where the hell did you score that? I'm thinkin' Muslimgauze vinyl is/was more readily available in Europe. He's got to be the most proficient dead artist since 2pac. When it seemed I wasn't going to be able to get his albums on vinyl, I downloaded a whole lot of them, it's not the same thing but at least I got to hear it. Seems to be a fair amount of Muslimgauze on youtube as well. Did you try playing the two posted videos at the same time? It actually kinda worked, lolz, he seems to like to stay in a particular BPM pocket.
That track mikeperez23 posted a couple of days ago (post #330) reminded me of Muslimgauze actually. Didn't really sound like him, just reminded me of him. It was real stark, which is I guess what did it. Funny how Muslimgauze is such a simple thing but nothing really sounds like him. Or at least nothing I'm aware of.
Cheers!

Long story made short, I was in the business. Most of Muslimgauze stuff was licensed worldwide via Staalplaat in Amsterdam so, yes, europeans had easier access to his records (expecially those released in extremely limited quantities).

Tobias' sound is the apotheosis of german techno...with Muslimgauze they share the industrial vibe, the starkness and a sort of oppressiveness but, IMO, Muslimgauze was way much more radical and experimental. Yes, pretty unique. It was like he had found his own perfect formula. If you liked Tobias, check this Efdemin remix of one if his tracks...the percussions are kinda Muslimgauzish (minus the distortion)... LOL
Lately, trying to get into Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti newish release Mature Themes. Might be a grower. Considerable departure from his early bedroom-recording masterpieces; he's my favorite artist working today, so I should learn to appreciate it. Mature Themes is a little refried Zappa but with some inspired kook, nice production. Hmm. Switching it off for now.
Cleansing the palate with Marianne Faithfull - Broken English.
Europe gets all the cool vinyl I'm diggin' this Tobias fellow. I like this sort of passive electronic stuff because you can play it and it doesn't demand attention. If you slap on Throbbing Gristle you've got everyone's attention until it stops or a mob of angry villagers attack you with torches and pitchforks.

So far I've only heard "Only in My Dreams" and right away I heard what you're talking about with the Zappa. After a few listens I had to listen to Turn! Turn! Turn! by The Byrds and Everybody's Talkin' at Me by Harry Nilsson to try and figure out what the hell this was reminding me of; the answer is probably a dozen things, all faces in a crowd. I had this LP in my hand today, I probably shoulda bought it, lolz.

Repetetive with this band I know - oh well I'm sure none of you are listenin :P
Every time I listen to Cocorosie I just think I HAVE TO SHARE THIS SONG WITH PEOPLE
Nice! I'm a huge fan of both and never heard this! J&MC have a super distinct sound (to me at least) and the Pixies make Head On sound like it was always a Pixies song. Nice post. Btw, I picked up a J&MC boot of some demos and early live, it's crazy sounding, very raw, very punk, at times even kinda evil sounding.

Funny how an album so absolutely fantastic , wich contains so hard-hitting songs , this is the theme resonating through my mind so many times.. so magnetic and astral.
