I'm trying to fill up my shopping cart with some new scents (a few dollars away from free shipping).
I wasn't going to purchase either of these, but which should I blind buy:

Versace Man Eau Fraiche
Rochas Men

I'm looking for something to wear over the next two semesters (Spring and Fall). I typically prefer sweet scents but need something a little on the safe side, but is still out there/sticks out.

I also wouldn't mind spending the extra cash on Givenchy Play Intense, but if possible, I'd like to stick to the former 2.

Rochas Man.

The two are both different. With Rochas man being a sweet winter scent and Eau Fraiche being a hot summer day scent. But both are fine for spring and fall.

Keep in mind with Eau Fraiche, your milage may vary. Many people complain that it only lasts 30 minutes to an hour on them, but with me, it lasts 9 hours (which is too long, IMO). It's synthetic, but pleasant. It's not a fragrance to examine closely, but rather take in the aroma as a whole.

Thanks guys. Any more thoughts?

Good point noirdrakkar, the problem with my skin is nothing lasts. I sprayed on Allure 3 hours ago and it is completely gone.

Both are safe blind buys.

Rochas Man smells similiar to Axe Dark Temptation, is more of cold weather scent.
Eau Fraiche smells similiar to D&G Light Blue For Women but little bit more masculine. This one is fresh scent.

It really depends when do you want to use them and what "holes" do you have in wardrobe

Personally I own only Rochas Man and consider it to be better of the 2, but Eau Fraiche is bit more versatile.

I'm leaning more towards Rochas. Not a huge fan of DG Light Blue (it's the only fragrance I own that get's very little play, aside from Euphoria).
How is the projection/longevity on Rochas? I heard it tends to stay close to the skin.

i'd say versace

no none of the above option?

i'd say play intense over both of them

Versace Man Eau Fraiche is similiar to D&G Light Blue for Women (not for Men).

Projection and longevity on Rochas IMO is average. It projects well on first few hours, then became skin scent and stays like that for overall maybe 7-9 hours. It can get really cloying on very hot day.

Rochas Man. the projection and longetivity is moderate to me.

Rochas, no doubts. Said that, I usually disencourage blind buying...

Although I do not like the smell of it, Rochas Man is still the better buy between the 2

Sorry..but if you ask what to buy it's not actually blind buying anymore!

If you like sweet, go for Rochas Man. If you like a different summer scent, not the regular grapefruit, ginger, etc. that is so common today, go for the Versace MEF

1. Versace Man Eau Fraiche
2. Givenchy Play Intense
3. Rochas Man

Hard to go wrong with any of these 3 IMO

Rochas Man over Eau Fraiche, but have a look at Givenchy Very Irresistible, it's kind of like a mixture of both of these scents. It has fresh citrus but also some chocolate gourmand type qualities as well.

Thanks everyone!
I ended up going with Play Intense. I had a chance to try Rochas and it just didn't sit well on my skin.

Francolino, touche. However, I was about to purchase them without ever smelling them

rochas man smells super sweet

I'd sample both. If I were to sample both I'd throw in Givenchy Play Intense as well to compare to Rochas...the sillage and projection is great with Play Intense. I got a 3.3oz bottle for $45.52 on Amazon a few weeks back. Great buy at this price point.

I would much prefer Rochas.

Congrats on the Givenchy dude - enjoy it
Lesson learnt for blind buying! - at least for a couple weeks

Thanks Freddie!
Yes, I am a blind buying nut when it comes to fragrances...sadly, my wallet and credit card are not too fond of me at the moment.
