Just got some MI...

Just got some Milleseme imperial after the recommendations on this board.
Had only ever used le male and had been doing so for a couple of months.

I guess I got a legit creed because the smell is the most heavily amazing thing ever but the melon note lasts 2 hours with faint drifts for the next 2, then its gone nooo lol!

I compare it to le male which I thought smelt great, and I sniff the two and all of a sudden le male smells like so fake and cheap it's truly unbelievable.

I spray MI and I get quite a strong alcoholic smell then after a few seconds I can't smell anything, it's like I'm breathing fresh air, like the air has just dropped 10 degrees with the faintest scent of sea salt and I'm like 'am I even smelling anything'?
I don't know what I'm smelling, it just smells like something completely real, fresh air, and therefor there is no real smell to describe, it's great.. And then after a few minutes the melon comes, it's not watermelon like some have said, it's some sort of large round red/orangish melon fruit, and oh my it is divine, it's mixed with the fresh sea salt breeze and I can't even describe how amazing this smells wow.. So understated yet amazing.
It hit's its peak about half an hour to an hour in when the fresh sea salt vibe is surrounding you that you don't even realise your still smelling something, your just in a pleasant extremely fresh place, when all of a sudden the melon drifts by and your reminded that fresh smell is artificially created by the frag, god..

Wow absolutely amazing... Then the melon is all but gone after 3-4 hours and your left with the fresh sea breeze scent very close to the skin but just wishing you could get another whiff of that melon...
Time to reapply !

Its winter here atm and I can't wait to use this in summer it will be out of this world...

I had bought armani code to try out as well, but it's been sitting in plastic wrap for the last 10 day's unused, and I think I won't even bother trying it, just sell it off... Had polo double black as well which I sometimes wore and that will be going in the bin no doubt!! This is truly something..

Lot is A3310K02

Will be sticking with this for a while, thanks for the recommendations, has made my frag search a lot quicker and cheaper no doubt about it!
Have to try GIT sometime no doubt, but how can it compare :P

MI is my favorite Creed and has a lifetime spot in my collection. It's the best I've found so far but the search continues.

One of the better Creeds, enjoy. As for GIT, that is probably my favorite from the house.

Welcome, fellow MI fan!

BTW, did you blind buy?

Welcome to basenotes!

I'm wearing MI right now as my scent of the day and love the lush watermelon on a seabreeze accord. It makes me feel like I'm on holiday in the Bahamas when I wear it. It's the iris, mandarin and lemon mixed together that gives it that melon smell, great fragrance.

Yeah it was a blind buy, not sure where we could get it here in Sydney? Anywhere I might be able to test the other creeds you know of? But I don't even wanna know how much a retailer would want for it $$ when le male costs $140 ;p..

Ohhh yeah, love busting through a crowd wearing this , walking around in circles to get a whiff of that melon in the sea breeze ahhhhhhh so real....

my #1 summer fragrance.

This is my first summer with MI and it has worked very well too. We haven't had much warm weather here but took it with me on holiday an it worked a treat!!

not a fan of this

MI Smells like a really nice expensive old lady perfume to me. I do like the overall smell, but there is something very mature and feminine about it. No way in hell I'd ever wear the stuff.

Also, I know I'm in the extreme minority here, but GIT has to be one of the most putrid and vile things I've ever smelled. I just don't understand the love for it here. It smells like rotting cleaning fluid to me. I'm absolutely serious. One of my top 3 most hated scents.

Not in the minority at all! I totally agree with you here 😄

Glad you like it. Very nice scent. Enjoy it.

Basically if you put anything up next to Le Male it will end up smelling synthetic...but congrats on the MI gateway fragrance.

MI is an amazing fragrance. it blew me away. GIT is almost as good as MI. You should try it.

Even though it may not be as good as MI, I still like Le Male a lot.

A Sydney-sider too? Well here's to hoping you stick around for a while. You can try them at the David Jones on Elizabeth Street in the CBD.

Wow you are really in love! glad you found something you enjoy so much. MI is one of the freshest frags Ive ever smelled.

Congrats! I just purchased a sample of it, might pull the trigger and go with a bottle if I like it.
My wallet really hates me right now.

Surprised you like it so much
My sample is really disappointing

Awesome! MI is great and glad you enjoy it. Its a classic modern classic. And no, Classic has no connection with old in this instance. As far as longevity, you may just perceive that its gone in a few hours, especially if you sence its truly gone, forget about it, and then get a whiff of the melon and it reappears.
