Where does Bois du Portugal rank?

You don't have a choice for "None of the above."

If you like BdP, enjoy it!

A very good fragrance.

Agree, not nearly enough choices. What's the point of a poll if there's essentially only one choice? It appears that you just want people to agree with you about what a great fragrace BdP is.

<FAIL>

Editing to say that I do think BdP is a good fragrance, but IMO fits neither of the categories listed in the poll.

Neither. It is a fantastic fragrance which I own and enjoy, but neither of the above options are even close to being appropriate.

It's as much choice as you get in most elections.

But surely we Basenoters are more enlightened and broadminded than either the government or the general population!

Lacks character. A simple but decent woody oriental.

7/10

Among the best of the 20th century, yet since time immemorial until today, quite a few other perfume masterpieces were crafted over the centuries.

A very nice fragrance

This is exciting! Right now Basenotes readers are voting Bois du Portugal the best fragrance of the 20th Century.
None of the above
It's pretty good but not my favorite Creed. In fact, it wouldn't even rank on my top 50 frags list, if such a thing existed. It's nice though.

Erm... it stinks. So neither.

Let's just say I hope I'm never stuck in the woods in Portugal, if this is what they smell like...

Tried this on once and it started to scream. I was constantly saying "sssshhhhhh" to it!!
I do not like the overwhelming lavender blast in the opening but it does have one of the best drydowns.
I'd happily vote it the best Creed fragrance post-Green Irish Tweed, the release of which certainly marked a watershed for the company in terms of their success and the style of their fragrances.

While I can understand why Bois du Portugal could be someone's favourite, and can imagine it making a good 'signature' fragrance, I couldn't vote Bois du Portugal the best of the 20th century or the best of all time!
Neither. A very poor attempt at a poll.
It ranks just behind Heritage, if that helps. I find these kinds of frags unbalanced, and prefer Opium Pour Homme EdP or vintage Jacomo de Jacomo, due to their balance (if I want "old school" spice).
It's a very good fragrance - but does not qualify for either of your classifications.
I do love it, own a early 00s bottle. But sorry neither of the choices are for me.
Talk about a lopsided poll. I've never smelled it, but I highly doubt it's the best fragrance of the 20th century or of all time. It's fine/great if you think so, but I wouldn't go hunting for other people to agree with you.
Decent to good on me but none of the above in poll.
Neither.
I'm confused at this...was this to be seriously? to prove a point? to make a useless poll?

Anyways, you went on to say it's more choice than most elections, so I'll do what I do in those cases and not vote.

Actually, I'm writing in "no where near the best of anything"

Some would think so.

This ^^^^^.

None of the above, but very good.
A mans man cologne.
Its very nice.

I think your poll was more designed to show us what you think of it, rather than the other way around.
None of the above.

I like it a lot, but I don't consider it to be the best.
Neither, albeit a very fine fragrance.
Its the best fragrance from Creed.
