I've been stuck at a greyhound terminal for the past hour, and now I'm finally on a bus. Wearing Mitsouko by Guerlain, on one arm. and Volupte by Oscar De La Renta on the other

Good morning!

It's Micallef Gardenia for me today.

Have a great Saturday, everyone.

Good afternoon fragrant friends.

SotM was a catch up for the synch Maison de la Vanille. Vanille Divine des Tropiques layered with the fragrant Bounty bar Zara Coco Romance. Perfect coconut vanilla fruity tropical island smell.

SotA is Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire which Mr Ali smiled at, which is approbation from him. Cherry brandy in dark chocolate gourmand goodness

Hello all. Chanel 31 Rue Cambon.

We have finally got K.'s storms last night and it is pleasantly cool and promising this morning. It was drizzling when I first got up, but now it is just quiet.

Aquatic Saturday, says Quarry? With the exception of La Perla Blue I am currently void of aquatics altogether. However, I can do Bvlgari Omnia Coral -- a deep pink fragrance in feel but demure and water-color, done by the nose who can find water in the Sakhara desert where it does not exist by definition. Hibiscus is refreshing, just like Khargade (sp?) Tea . Thanks to a lovely BNer who tied me up with another sample of this.

Mood: Cat Stevens It's a Wild World.

T, I'm glad to hear it rained there! We have a chance for more storms this afternoon.

Wearing Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline for Aquatic/Fresh Saturday. It has notes of bamboo,
nashi pear, lotus flower and balsa wood. A very light and fresh scent.

Have a great day!

Hey y'all -

SnS completely slipped my mind ...I'm in vintage-70s Vivre de Molyneux this morning.

Hi, everyone!

Wolfie - re Coty Wild Woods, I had no idea it's become so scarce! I found a couple bottles up for sale on Ebay (no affiliation)

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...r+men&_sacat=0

Brutally hot and humid out there today, so I'm staying indoors with the AC cranked up and wearing Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess.

Take care, all!

Hi-hi scented darlings! Hope the weekend finds you well.

Beauxbatons- sounds like you've found a way to make the Greyhound bearable.

I went to sleep in the Galliano perfume last night and am reapplying it for a morning of volunteering then possibly some estate sales.

Angelica-incense-powdery iris and aldehydic musky violet accord: this is so softly but boldly blended, just like a Galliano gown back when the guy was going for talent and fantasy and not flubbing up, and this has the same 1920s-30s reference points. I know it's been talked to death and lots of fashion people think it was overreacted about, but I disagree. He was always a tacky and cheesy little pirate bastard but one could forgive it for the drama of the clothes, the true couture spirit. Good designer or no, he shot himself in the foot business-wise. Too bad the man had to embarrass himself spouting idiocies drunk or mad or just plain tactless; this perfume is such a modern classic. Ah well, similarly the bottle is repulsive to me; but hats off to the perfumers Christine Nagel and Aurelien Guichard here: oh what's inside! Maybe minus the overdone cap it is more evocative of Galliano's lovely old design drama? Twolf's mood music selection seems very fitting for today.

Unintentionally wearing Coincidence by Quarry, as my eye was caught by a thread about Sel Marin so I have skooshed some. My last actually, because I swapped the remains of my bottle, but I had a dribble in a decant made for my handbag. There will be a new bottle soon.

Glad that you are feeling better Alityke. Take it easy now!!

I'm wearing L'Artisan Fleur d'Oranger 2007 and loving it!

It's August 4th again, and every Aug. 4th I celebrate being alive.

On Aug. 4, 1973 we totaled our car while driving in heavy rain to Boston, where my brother and I were to be presented with scholarships from my father's then-employer, the Van Heusen Corporation.

We hydroplaned during a lane change. Starting on the far left of the road, the car skidded across 4 lanes, broadsided another car (which ended up on the far left), and jumped onto the guard rail, riding it for 50 feet and gutting the underside of the car. The rail kept us from going into a ravine. I had one small bruise and no one else was injured in either car.

It's great to still be alive 39 years later!

What a story, 30R !
So glad you all escaped virtually unscathed. Terrifying stuff...

SotD was Chanel Pour Monsieur. Slowly getting my strength back, too.

Best to all.

I'm trying Comptoir sud Pacific - Aqua Motu I had forgotten about it. It seems rather nice. A woody aquatic.

The notes for the current version are helychrisum, marine notes, lily of the valley, warm sand, and kelp.

How's that for pretentious-warm sand?

Good evening all. Well all day I smelled like henna and now I still smell a little like henna and some Wazamba, pretty good together actually. Also I am le tigre until the henna oxidizes, the gray hairs and the little ones around the edges turn bright orange but overnight darken to red.

It's storming here, and I had a busy afternoon out then dinner with friends. Now watching "Celine et Julie vont en bateau"--which is a very stylish, pointedly surrealist, somewhat slow-paced movie, but I think I kind of like it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celine_...lie_Go_Boating

A night at home after a long week. Not glamorous, but there's nothing I'd rather be doing in this mood and during a fabulous thunderstorm (my favorite weather!)

I'm in vintage Quelques Fleurs de Houbigant cologne as a base with a little vintage Ombre Rose parfum on top. At first I tried to avoid florals, but what a mistake! The flowers in this combo are so artfully arranged abundant that they're quietly dangerous instead of soft and people-pleasing.

Go forth and smell pretty all!
