I posted this a while ago on Fragrantica, but with the membership there being decidedly more populated by females, and the majority of blokes sticking to popular designer frags, I'll ask you gentlement with a better chance of reply.
I returned to work today (after vacation) and my NIB bottle of Alan Cumming - Cumming I bought had arrived in my absence.
I'm not sure what to make of this stuff - can't say I find it immediately enthralling.
The dirt note at the beginning is actually quite nice, in a unique and confronting kind of way, but I find it fades out in about 30 seconds leaving precious little in the way of scent.
Nose to hand, I detect a dry, almost caramel (but not sweet) note mixed with a soft pepper and spice accord.
It's weird to describe this fragrance as gourmandish, but there's something in there that makes me want to lick my hand.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses, but I already hold little hope of its longevity being good.
Update - this has all but disappeared on me, about 2 hours later.
Anyone else that owns, or has owned it - what are your thoughts on it?
