Hello fumees! Time to start our today's lovely chit chat about perfume we're wearing today. It's getting colder and there were recent reports about some nasty weather fronts going through Poland. Just read about some heavy hailstorms with ping-pong ball sized hail... What is happening to this world, to it's climate.

I'm in Penhaligon's Eau Sans Pareil, lovely perfume. Will review it at Chemist in the Bottle later today.

Good morning! G, L you are both so chic today. Gorgeous pictures.

I will join Lucasai in his house, with Juniper Sling, and hope for a sunny day and maybe a G&T later, or a Pimms.

Afternoon fragrant friends

Today was a day I needed freshness but more not my usual go to of AE. My hand strayed to EL Azuree then fell on to the fabulous cologne that is Dior's Escale a Portofino. Compliments a gogo from my work colleagues. Shame that it lacks the longevity I would like but that just means I get to spray lovely lemon clouds of it frequently. Makes me feel elegant and soinee

Hello everyone -

I'm in Climat, with all its bright-blue-summer-sky-with-fluffy-white-clouds brand of aldehydic glory.

Y'all have a great day!

Tech-writing and editing away a morning in CDG 2 Man. The scent lends itself to focus.

Admiring the much more ornate and classical beauties worn upthread, of course.

Takin Mom to the Dr. again today for follow-up of bloodwork.
SotD is once again L'Artisan Fleur d'Oranger.

Hedonist, your pictures make me swoon. A tropical paradise would be really great right now.

SotD is Jo Malone Vanilla & Anise, with notes of bergamot, neroli, wild fennel flower, star anise, oleander, tuberose, frangipani, purple vanilla orchid, clove, white amber, vetiver, vanilla bourbon absolute and tonka bean. Not quite right for a hot summer day, but I had the urge to wear it.

Have a great day!

This is the sort of summer day where trying to outdo nature would be futile. Having just finished sampling rose after roase thru Whitefluffy's Parfums de Rosine sample pass, I am staying floral with the jasmine vial from Donna Karan Essence. Later I may layer this with the tiniest spritz of the Weil Masculine Kipling as a dress rehearsal in my search for a perfect leather/tobacco/white floral.

Mercy, those are some beautiful images you folks are sharing today. Thank you.

I read yesterday that the IUNX line of fragrances is no longer considered discontinued, so I'm daring to spray a good portion from my small decant of acid-free, lemony goodness that is Eau Frappée.

Anomie et Ivoire, you’re a technical writer? Then you are well qualified to invent the word “upthread,” which is simply perfect.

Jujy54, I love how you smell. I think DK's Jasmine Essence is my fave jasmine.

Good evening all. Welcome to AN as I have been remiss in doing so earlier.

Sampling this evening from a care package received from a very stylish young man. Musc Maori which Mr Ali described as very pleasant (high praise from him). The opening was pure "Cadbury World" and it's now developing an inedible quality, still milk chocolate but hiding something. Interesting first 30 minutes.

Good evening all...Needed a comforting scent today,so decided on Tam Dao.

Oh it's just a "day job" to support writing, grad school attempts, and art projects, but it's a good one as far as those go! I think someone else invented "upthread" at some point? When I'm not being paid to edit and be anal-retentive, I make tons of errors and have issues doing hyphens correctly. Tons of run-on sentences and fragments. I like to think it's a personal style of course. Or maybe a way of leaving work at work!

Those travel destination images are so tempting. Too bad for us landlocked ones.

SOTE: vintage Houbigant Chantilly. I wouldn't figure this one to be my style: too ostensibly femme, but this powdery oriental has a classic, comforting drydown.

A long day at work, on call again. I'm wearing Bottega Veneta today.

Hugs to all ...

Permanent crown is now affixed - rather painfully I might add !
I punched my dentist in the arm ( playfully ) three times at the height of the pain . He deserves it and his assistant cheered .

Still in Hypnotic Poison .
My DH bought me 2 more bottles of Hypnotic Poison today .
This is one of his favorites though he says the older bottle I still have ( which I guess is now ' vintage ' ) smells different and smoother - therefore better. Still HP remains a great .

Hope the pain has subsided, well, to be more realistic, at least somewhat subsided. At least you had a non-creepy dental team?
