Ready to buy and can't find Knize Ten

I have finally decided to buy Knize ten but can't find it anywhere. Everybody seems to be out. Anybody know where I can find this?

The Perfume House on Hawthorne Blvd. had it the last time I was in puddle town, but that was nearly two years ago. As LS seems to be out of stock, the only other place I know to get it would be from overseas.

I bought mine from these guys before LS started carrying it and the price even with shipping to the US was fairly reasonable:

I got mine at the Scent Bar in LA. You can order it from them at luckyscent.com.

Oops, sorry. Looks like they're sold out.

The perfume house is out and will not put me on the waiting list. They had it nine months ago... They told me that too many people wanted it and flat refused to add me to the list. I'm done with them, sadly. Will never return.

Make a trip to Vienna and get it at the boutique am Graben.

Or give the shop in NY a call and ask them if they'd ship it to you.

That's a shame. In today's world of big box retailers, customer service is one of the only things if not the only thing mom & pop shops have to use as a competitive edge.

It was a neat little store even if a bit pricey, but if they aren't willing to help you source a bottle, I certainly understand the adios!

Colonial drugs in Cambridge MA used to have it (that's where I bought mine), don't know if they still do. They don't have an online website, but they ship out if you send an email. They don't take credit cards, so if it works out, you may have to send a check.

Looks like http://www.ausliebezumduft.de/knize-knize-ten-2.html is the way to go.

In other news, what is the correct pronunciation of this brand? I always say "Kneez".

I would get on a waiting list at Lucky Scent.

First in Fragrance is the way to go, since they give you 3 large spray samples of anything you want with your order.

I've heard it's "kuh-neetza" but I don't remember where. I think I asked a German speaker.

Yes! This is the correct pronunciation!

Re: the pronunciation, I think I read in a thread (or another source) that the issue is complicated by the fact that Knize is a czeck name, so one can also pronunce it that way, whatever it is.

Manufactum.de and Manufactum.at have it in stock at any given time and I am pretty certain they ship anywhere.
We say Knische in German but I think you're right that it is originally not a German name.

That's what I did, but Akahina is in Portland, Oregon - do you realize just how far from Vienna that is?! And even at Graben they're often out of stock, they told me. With K10 having quickly and recently become the leather favorite among perfumistas, it seems old Knize are having major problems meeting the rapidly accelerating demand. Maybe you can e-mail the Vienna store and ask them if they can help you?
As for pronunciation, I'm pretty sure it's ['kni:zhe], stress on the first syllable (as always in Czech), "k" audible, "i" long, and "z" voiced and palatalized, like a French "j" or a Russian "ж"...

I use them for samples and they are great. Just wondering if you bought a bottle would it be too cheeky to ask for three Clive Christian samples as I know they are very expensive.lol

Just saying Europe is a nice place to visit. The phonetic spelling is correct, that's how we say it.

Anyway if Akahina really can't get it in the US or by himself, I would help if he wants.

Ha! I was thinking exactly the same thing for my next order. Apparently it's all fair game, whatever you want. I think somebody previously mentioned purchasing a bottle of Puredistance M and then asked for 3 samples of M to go with it and they happily obliged.

Here they seem to have it at Luckyscent.

Les Senteurs had 4 bottles last time I was in there - they may send. I thought it was 'nize' as in 'size'. The shop in Vienna is right in the main thoroughfare/centre - well worth a visit.
