Unusual Inexpensive Frangrance? Female/Unisex

hi everyone,

i'm really new to fragrances. i'm looking to find an inexpensive but unusual fragrance. i don't have much criteria besides the fact that i need to be able to purchase it on land (drugstore, department store, etc) and that it must be inexpensive ($30 or less).

things to note: i'm not into powdery scents or anything sickly sweet (nausea). also not into overtly masculine scents. don't want to smell like a guy. i don't mind unisex fragrances though.

just want something unusual that i don't smell like everyone else (i know given the price range a bit difficult)

i don't at all mind "weird" scents, in fact i like them. also, it doesn't have to smell too "girly". i'm open to a lot of things.

i guess mostly i would like something that smells like a thing (water, salt, grass, clothes, pool chlorine, whatever [though not restricted to these elements]) rather than a scent. idk if that makes any sense at all. i don't mind smelling like a fragrance either.

maybe some of you can help me? i think this might be a bit confusing. if you have any questions let me know. basically it doesn't have to be as specific smelling as the things i listed just unusual. also, i would prefer something that has a little bit of staying power (isnt gone in 2 hours)

haha

thanks for the help.

Perry Ellis 360 Red or Geoffrey Beene Grey Flannel. Both you can get at Walgreens.

You might find some Demeter scents at Marshalls or Ross. They tend to smell like things, some more unusual than others, and are affordable.

Also, I might add...if you save up an extra $20 the doors really open in terms of good and even great fragrances that are available.

Welcome!

I'm not in the US so I'm not sure whether all of these fragrances are easy to find in brick-and-mortar stores, but for cheap-ish perfumes that you won't smell on everyone I'd suggest:

Revlon Ciara
Lolita Lempicka
Bulgari Black
Rochas Tocade
Kiehl's Musk
Ma Griffe
Perfumer's Workshop Tea Rose
Halston

I am not 100% sure just how "guy like" these are nor do I think they are very unique but I think a women could wear these pretty easily.

Cerruti Image - smells clean and soapy (pretty cheap), my daughter snagged this one from me .

Cerruti Pour Homme - kind of a light spicy fresh scent, I picked this up from Burlington Coat Factory for 7$.

love Bulgari Black, it's one of my absolute faves. To me it's not weird at all; it's very much in line with my taste (which I guess must be 'weird' or maybe 'edgy, urban and very modern'. LOL!) It's my preferred way to wear vanilla with tea and rubber.

Try:

In White by J. Del Pozo - A pleasant, feminine fragrance which spotlights various white flowers, including jasmine, magnolia, and lemon, orange and almond blossoms inter alia, floating within a gentle musk. The floral is not heavy-handed. Its longevity and sillage are very good.

I'll second Demeter and I'll add Lush (the brand). They release most of their fragrances in sticks as well (which sell for something like $15). Here are a few suggestions from their range....

Dirty
Breath Of God
Karma
(personally I'm not very fond of this but it's a crowdpleaser)
B Scent
The Smell Of Weather Turning
Ladyboy
Superworld Unknown
