I've got the odds on over/under on team win/loss, divisional winners and Super Bowl champs if anybody is curious about what the odds are on their team(s). Also odds on passing, rushing, and receiving leaders.

Cleveland? I never see a Browns game covered anymore..I almost thought they disappeared.

What are odds on the 9ers for SB? Lol..as long as Smith is QB..ugh..I don't think a SB win is in the future. And they kept the special teams guy who messed up 2x in that Giants game. My goodness. We thought for a while that Manning may be interested in the 9ers but then he went to the Broncos. So, 9ers renewed Smith's contract for I think, 3 years, something like that.

How bout them Cowboys?

Go easy on the Browns, they have enough problems. I think picking up Weeden is a step in the right direction though.

7 to 1 odds that SF wins the SB. I think Harbaugh is a hell of a coach and I think SF will have a good look at being there in the end. They bolstered the offense significantly by picking up LaMichael James who was a steal in the 2nd round. I don't care what the critics say about Randy Moss, if he's got any game left in him, Jim Harbaugh is going to get it out of him. I think Alex Smith is a good QB and I have big respect for Colin Kaepernick. He's 6'5, runs a 4.5 40, was fantastic at Nevada where he ran a complex offense and put up big numbers. Kaepernick is the only quarterback in the history of Division I FBS college football to have passed for over 10,000 yards and rushed for over 4,000 yards in a collegiate career and also the only Division 1 FBS QB to have passed for over 2,000 yards and rushed for over 1,000 yards in a single season three times in a career (consecutively). I think if Smith goes down, the ship is in good hands with Kaepernick at the helm.

Wow, well you know your football. I meant no disrespect to the Browns in any way. I really was wondering why no games are ever covered, ya know? At least, I don't remember many Browns games being covered. So, when I saw they were still in the league..I thought, wow, well I hadn't heard any coverage/news about them in so long. I thought it was sad..they get like no coverage. Is it just me? As far as the 9ers, ya, H is a good coach, we will see what happens this year. I hope Colin is good..I heard he fumbled the ball a lot back in the college days. But Idk. I guess not enough to keep him from getting all those yards. I actually haven't seen him play yet though. I missed the first two pre-season games and am not too much of a fan of college fb. My fave player last year was Justin Smith...what a ham! Lol, you gotta love this! lol:

Justin is the man!

@gandhajala
: A signed Joe Montana card??. *jealous* lol
post #17 of 250
The Browns have been sorry, there's no reason for them to get any coverage outside of the region; televised games are typically regional or games that appeal nationally. And their schedule this year is rough. I'll be surprised if they win more than six games and even that is a stretch. Seahawks on the other hand could be dangerous, especially for SF.

Like I said, I think A.Smith is a good QB, but I'd sure like to see Kaepernick get some snaps. Dude has a nice arm, he's big and fast and has got good situational awareness. As far as having butter fingers, I don't remember fumbling being an issue. Here's some highlights, seems a lot of it is vs Cal and some vs Boise St and Boston College, so it's not just a whole bunch of clobbering cream puffs.

I wrote him a sucky letter when I was 11 or so, saying how much I admired him and how few people in Australia followed NFL (I was living in Oz at the time), yadda yadda yadda. I included a football card and asked if he would sign it. Lo and behold, fully a year later it comes back autographed !

Awww, well, at least he got to it! That is so sweet, how can one refuse a letter from a kid?.

Thanks for that video, Shiny Beast...maybe there is a little hope for the 9ers.

In regards to Cleveland..that's pretty cool that you aren't just a fair weather fan..but a faithful fan! Have they ever made it to the play-offs at all?

Yeah, they've been to the playoffs. I'll let you guess how that went.

Ya, if I remember right, the Browns played the Broncos..for an AFC championship I think..but haha..maybe you felt better after John played so horribly against the 9ers and lost 55-10 in the SB. LOL. I think that was the season? Sorry to any Broncos fans but that was one of the funniest games I have ever seen! Haha. Member when they couldn't even get the ball through the legs to snap it to Elway? LOL:

The quality of that video isn't all that great.. but seriously, ROFL. Again, sorry to any Broncos fans in the house!

^ Wow, that's a trip down memory lane.
This thread has really re-ignited my passion for the game.
Thanks Kalli !

Can't wait to watch the game tonight, although The Giants and Cowboys are the two teams I despise the most.

Pretty good guess, Cowboys 24-17. Wednesday night is a good night for football. A better question is why isn't there more Wednesday night games? Looks like there is a Thursday night game every week of the season though.

NCAA top 25 is a little easier to handicap than NFL since you can count on certain teams doing their thing week in and week out, but on the flip side, when you get into rivalries and the BCS picture, shit gets crazy fast. To me, NCAA is exponentially more fun to watch; more gadgets, stunts, pageantry, upsets, and everyone's trying their best 'cause they wanna make it to the next level. The offenses are much more imaginative and risky and it makes for better games to watch. And the live experience is barely comparable as far as atmosphere.

Go vikings!!!

It's gonna be a rough year for the ol' Vikes. A real shame too, because if AD gets it all back and returns to his old self, we don't have a supporting cast to make a run like we did when brett first came to play. WIth the Pack, and the Bears in the division, and not to mention the Lions are not the 0 and 16 team of years past...the VIKES are the dog of the conference!

Oh well, I am Purple and Gold through and through. Live and die with them. Even if they do move em' to LA!
It's absurd that a Vikings move to LA is even on the table. California is already well represented; if LA wants a team so badly they should've kept the last TWO teams they had. More deserving cities:

Portland
SLC
Toronto
Las Vegas

Yes, Portland should have a team already! All they got is the Trailblazers..I don't even know if they play good any more, lol. Don't follow b-ball. Vegas, let me guess, they would be called the Vegas Dice, something lame like that, lol. I wasn't complaining about games on Wed..just when did that start? lol. I still miss Monday Night Football. Was pretty surprised when they switched it.

There's been no switch, it's just a beginning of the season special time slot, unfortunately not a re-occuring event. The good news is you won't have to miss Monday Night Football much longer as there are two games on this Monday.

Truthfully they deserved to lose. The Cowboys were much better last night. There's always the next game though.

No other pairing of QB'a make me more nervous than Romo and Eli. They're both good but Romo is always one play away from spinning out of a sack and throwing into triple coverage and Eli often looks like he's just seconds away from being completely overwhelmed by a situation.

It was almost as fun watching the NY and Dallas fans jaw at each other. I watched the game at a bar where they did a raffle at the end of every quarter. At the end of the game raffle, one of the big NY fans won a Romo jersey, everybody was cracking up.

I just got NFL Rewind..now I can watch my special teams fumble the ball over and over and over and over. lol.

Any of you got any jerseys? I got my Jerry Rice jersey last year for my b-day..it didn't bring me any luck wearing it during the championship game. Darn that Kyle Williams, lol. Wonder if he admits to finally touching the ball when he kneed it...I'm still bitter! lol. Looks like he's returning punts on Sunday too. See how that goes, lol.

Cool deal. I want an away Justin Smith 9er jersey. My Rice is home. Ya know, Troy Smith played well when Alex was injured..but they keep on with Alex. I have no faith in Alex whatsoever. lol. Never have. I liked that Troy guy..guess he's a free agent now. I think he had potential. Defense we are awesome..offense..we need to work on. ugh....like the past several years we've needed to work on it. And I know, we made the NFC champ game but..that's cause of our defense, imo.

Jets OWNED the Bills LOL..that was a great game! Lookin' good indeed!.

But how bout them 9ers able to pull off a win in Lambeau?! Oh yeah! I honestly thought GB was going to win..since they win against us most of the time. I thought they'd win by like 10 pts at least. Awesome!

Shades, sorry to hear..such a bummer when no team of yours wins..

NFL Rewind kinda stinks..games aren't available to watch all Sunday evening or Monday evening. They don't allow video playing during those times. Kinda dumb.
