Virgin Island Water Longevity?

To me this is far and away probably the best smelling summer scent (very pleasant) but how is its performance do you find? Anyone getting respectable performance from this (obviously in the summer cause that's the only time to wear this)? I am talking 6-8 hours while still turning heads? I ask cause I really love the scent and want to have this, but I cannot justify paying lots of money if it gets no utility (new batches good?). I'd appreciate any thoughts on this, thanks.
p.s. if you spray this on clothes, do you feel it lasts and projects more?

I get 4-6 hours of longevity on this, projection is average during that time frame. Spraying on clothes will help extend the scent life.

At least 4 to 6, usually longer. Current batches are lovely. Yes, spraying on clothes extends the life.

Thats about what I get out of this. If you need more longevity, get an atomizer and carry with you. Don't let the longevity keep you from this stuff if you like it.
The first few hours project very well.

It does well on me, more than 5 hours, but generously sprayed. Usually stays close to the skin, it has I can say - an elegant projection.

I Get a solid 6 Hours... Limited Projection but i get a great scent cloud in my own space thats extremely pleasant. I dont really wear this fragrance for others. I wear it for myself. I give one spray to the back of the Neck and One Spray to the base of the Neck. Ive never gotten a compliment on this either. I assume its due to the limited projection.

Added note. Much better than Sel Marin as far as projection and longevity. Sel Marin is one of my favorite scents but I get about 2-3 hours of longevity and thats pushin it and pretty much ZERO projection after 4 sprays.

Did you get it from authorized Creed distributor, or from some online discount place / gray market?

no no this is a sample from Perfumed Court that I got like 11 months ago, spray sample, just dismal longevitiy on it

I get surprisingly good longevity with average projection out of my decant, and I'm very fussy with that kind of thing.

Good longevity in the heat usually 6-8 hours, decent projection for the first hour or two. I wore this a lot when my girlfriend and I went to Antigua, she absolutely loves it on me.

I consider TPC to be a very reliable source. Did you ask someone else if they could smell it on you? Maybe you were suffering from OF? It isn't a beast by any means, but I couldn't imaging getting that bad of longevity out of it.

I get 5-6 hours on my skin, but 8-12 hours if I spray it on my clothing. Good stuff.

I sprayed some on my wrist in shop.
When I got back to my office 50 minutes later, it was totally gone - making it the poorest lasting Creed scent on me that I'd ever tried.

I get a good 6-8 hours from mine. I have noticed that it becomes a skin scent after about 4 hours. Sparaying on clothes have definitely helped me with longevity as well.

Get about 5 hours. But no complaints here. This stuff is good to go for the summer. Rather have something with 5 hours, than 8 hours and not smell as well as this.

My SOTD. Got a good 6 hours, started to become a skin scent thereafter. I sprayed once on each inner elbow, one on the chest, and two small sprays on my shirt.

I have the 2010 batch. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Not sure why, but It just seems to last longer on some people compared to others. Friend and I tested using a bottle I picked up, equal amount sprayed to necks and wrists. Lasted 4 hours on me and barely a half hour for him, we thought fatigue may have been a factor, but his fiancé still was able to smell the scents on me and didn't smell anything on him. And as others noted you can also extend it a bit by spraying clothes, nice thing living in Arizona is its almost an 8 month usable fragrance

Ok, I am a girl, so as you can imagine I project less than any of you (or so we can imagine). I also can smell it all day, so others, low/medium sillage, and I find it pleasent any time of the year, even if I understand why you're thinking about this for summer. Is a great scent, really. Is an unisex, as you probably know already, yet usually ladies are not appealed to it, but they do compliment it a lot (on men!!!).

I have found with Creed fragrances, the Longevity issue is drastically different with different people for several reasons. I refuse to buy/wear something that I have to bathe in to get any longevity out of. 3 Spritzes should last 8hrs. Some folks argue they get longevity, but when you "read between the lines" they are spraying 5-8 spritzes, spraying clothing, or defining longevity loosely by saying if they bury their nose in their arm and still catch a whiff, it is there. TO me longevity is still smelling it without lifting clothes or body parts to my nose. I have GIT, and it's longevity is 4hrs tops...BUT if I bury my nose in my arm 10hrs later I still smell it.

I get around 6 hours from my bottle from 2009, The 2011's are excellent from what I've been told.
