New Fragrance: Baldessarini Secret Mission

From fragrantica.com:

Baldessarini launches the new fragrance Secret Mission that will be available from specialist retailers and in selected department stores from the end of August, 2012. Charles Schumann is the face of BALDESSARINI FRAGRANCES. He impressively embodies a man with character, style and a personal mythology.

The head notes open thrillingly with a seductive blend of bergamot and basil, enticingly combined with fresh cypress. In the heart, the fragrance reveals its boldly persuasive masculinity; powerful cardamom, aromatic geranium leaves and the unmistakable scent of lavender come together in a deeply evocative composition. The base note of BALDESSARINI SECRET MISSION is mystic and elegant, thanks to the forceful personality of cedarwood, the sensuality of warm musk and the intensive attraction of Oriental oud wood. The composition was created in cooperation with the renowned fragrance house IFF.

Interesting! Will sniff. After this and the 007 fragrance, I hope we don't see "spy frags" as some new genre - to compete with sport frags, night frags, and all the rest. It could get très corny.

Strangely enough, the bottle matches the name. Sounds like a fragrance I would sample.

Am looking forward to a 'test drive.' Thanks for posting.

The notes sound like it'll be a synthetic mess, I don't know why lol. I like Baldessarini and will give this a try.

It's hard to find any Baldessarini in Croatia. The rumor was that this house is being "canceled" along with their products. Obviously the house exists and is active with it too.

Sounds like something to try.

Why? Someone pull the plug on this line, please!

I agree completely

Tried this one today. Secret Mission is a lighter, more citrusy version of Armani Attitude. The patchouli-sh base is recognisable here. Not bad. The longevity and sillage are average.

Thanks for the save. I guess I'll stick with Attitude.
Ambre has been the only thing that's impressed me so far.
