It seems it's been a while since anyone has done a poll on LV and a few things have come out from that house since then. So let's have a go at this -
My own vote goes to Vetiver, which I consider a very rich and highly gratifying earthy take on that note (albeit remarkably linear). I am also very impressed by Patchouli and Piper Nigrum and I also enjoy Wild Lavender as a successful attempt to approach the classic fougère style from a modern perspective.
Which one is your favorite?

That has to be Piper Nigrum for me, but I love most of them.

I have only tried a few but I like Uomo while it lasts. I did not like Piper Nigrum as it's too much like Tiger Balm that I use.

Three way battle between Uomo, Sandalo, and Yerbamate. Vote goes to Sandalo.

Piper Nigrum I no longer enjoy, so I have to say Patchouli closely followed by Musk although it seems a little too feminine for my taste

1 piper nigrum
2 uomo
3 patchouli (quite the thumper)

wish to try:
incensi
spezie
sandalo
wild lavender

Piper Nigrum by far.

I own a bottle of Vetiver and have a 2ml sample of 'Wild Lavender' and my girlfriend owns Teint de Neige and has a sample of 'Musk' These two are imo for women 'only' as they lack any masculanity.

My vote goes for Vetiver as it's the darkest most pure Vetiver I own and I really love it!

Of the many I've tried - Piper Nigrum
I love Lorenzo Villoresi and own and enjoy most of these fragrances. I chose Piper Nigrum, but Vetiver would be a very close second for me. Yerbamate would probably be third.

I voted for Uomo.

I had sampled Piper Nigrum and thought it was fantastic--fresh, bright, spicy, etc. Then I ordered a bottle and either my initial impression was wrong or the juice in the bottle was flat, because everything I originally liked about it was missing.

My fave is actually not on the list - the discontinued Ylang Ylang. It's an amazing scent, with a real classic Chanel vibe. But my other bottle is Yerbamate.

Uomo, Sandalo and Alamut.

Acqua di Colonia, Uomo & Yerbamate. Haven't tried the Lavender, must track it down.
Only tried 3- disliked Piper Nigrum and Yerbamate, but loved Uomo.
avsolutely "Garofano" and also Acqua di Colonia
post #17 of 28
Sandalo is my first pick with Piper Nigrum and Vetiver coming just right after. I quite like Incensi as well but it's somewhat weak....On a side note, I'm growing quite fond of Theseus as well. An overlooked gem IMO.

Uomo, followed by Piper Nigrum.

My favorite Villoresi are Patchouli, Vetiver and Uomo. Aqua di Colonia is also a fine cologne -one of the better eau de colognes.
Piper Nigrum (before reformulation), then Incensi and Uomo.

This may explain why Piper Nigrum didn't wow me as much as I expected!

Uomo for me.................
where is Iperborea, here??

Iperborea is great!!
My choices: Spezie , Incensi , Musk.
Got 5 bottles of Spezie, 3 of Musk and 2 of Incensi.
Piper Nigrum, Spezie and Uomo. Incensi is also nice.

Sandalo then Vetiver then Yerbamte.

I tried patchouli yesterday. It was addy reformulated. The original smelled damp, dank and jungly. This smelled polished. Like the Reminiscent patchouli series. Sad really.
