Rose fragrance

Are there any frags out there that have a very real natural smelling rose note in them? Perhaps with a light woodsy, and maybe including some spice and/or sweetness?

I've smelled my step-mother's EL's Beautiful, and it seemed like I was starting to feel nauseated. I'm not looking for that kind of smell; not sure if it's because of the rose note(s) in that fragrance or what.

I have Al Rehab Khaliji; but what about something more subtle, like a GPHII infused with rose?

Thanks

1913 and Lumiere Noire are two pretty good choices IMO.

Highness Rose smells very like my "Roseraie de L'Hay" rugosa...a spicy rose with a bit of carnation/clove. Very realistic, quite linear, low sillage and great longevity.

+1 - Highly recommended! I would suggest you start your journey with Vintage Acteur...for all the reasons you mentioned. Read the reviews - it is not a "fresh bloom", but a slightly wilted rose that has shed a few petals. There is a Mace note in here along with nice, rich booziness from the fruit notes...as well as rich, earthy patchouli, warm leather, spicy wood notes, amber and wonderful Oakmoss (only in Vintage). Possibly, the best release ever from the Azzaro house...!

Also, the "dirty rose" of Zino Davidoff (make sure you only get Original Formulation with the Script Logo!) and...Iquitos by Alain Delon - a wonderful composition with rose in the heart

Washington Tremlett's Black Tie is very very nice (classy and traditional in a good way). Hedonist is of course very right in mentioning Caron's N'aimez que moi, likewise Or et Noir, if you want to go this way.

Amouages Lyric Man has a lush red rose smell about it that is quite stunning though it is a bit feminine.

Armani Prive Rose d'Arabie ticks those boxes imo. But if you prefer something more subtle, perhaps try Tea Rose from Perfumers Workshop?

Highness Rose for when I crave fresh, dewy, youthful rose.
Creed Windsor for when I want a comfortably masculine rose-themed frag.
Arabian Oud's King Fahed oil blend for when I want rose seamlessly fused with musk and oud.
