Today is the last day of August and so it's time for monthly statistics.

My stats look like this:
6\tVoleur de Roses
5\tMesse de Minuit
4\tLV Patchouli
3\tMagot, Vierges et Toreros
2\tAmbre Profond, Five OClock au Gingembre, Etro Patchouly, Shaal Nur, Yatagan

Patchouli was definitely the note of the month! Not just the scents named "patchouli", but all the scents listed have a patchouli note. For some reason or another it just hit the spot this month.

What did you wear on the last month of summer?

I've been on a citrus binge all month trying to beat the heat & humidity of Florida. Yuk! The top picks I seemed to reach for the most...

- Eau de Guerlain
- Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat
- Acqua di Parma Colonia

For the evening I've loved Aqua Allegoria Lys Soleia.

It's Carnal Flower for me, simply because it's the only one that seems to work well on me in the sweltering heat. I've used up about a third of the bottle already. De Profundis also works well too.

No. 5 Eau Premiere

The rest were all single wears, most of them lighter summer scents.

I write my SotD into calendar and then move the info into a Word document, but everyone has their own method.

From memory my most worn is probably Guerlain Parfum Initial L'Eau I love the iris powder on the light vanilla base. In fact August was largely a Guerlain month. L'Heure Bleue, Pamplelune, Jicky, la Petite Robe Noire 2012, Lys Soleia and Mitsouko have all been out.

I've also been snuffling out vanillas. Molinard Vanille, Spirituese Double Vanille, AdP Mandorlo di Sicilia and EL Amber Ylang Ylang have haunted me

l post my SOTD every day on basenotes, then at the end of the month l click on my "show all scents worn" & note down the tally in a notebook. lt helps me keep track if l make a note of the scent l wore on the last day of the previous month.

Total number of scents worn; 38. House of the month; a tie between Guerlain & Stella McCartney.

As is usual for me in summer, l've been wearing a lot of tropical fragrances & jasmine, although there has been the odd cooler day when l've still needed my orientals to keep me warm!

Ellenisia by Penhaligon was the only repeat in August.
We are heading for spring, I am choosing floral, bright and uplifting scents. Had repeats by house - Guerlain and Chanel.

Oh, just what I needed...track frags monthly by spreadsheet/notebook. I'm such a geek! I've been working my way through a gajillion minis, 54 wears for the month. Only 2 repeats, but of different concentrations.

2 x Priscilla Presley Moments (one parfum & one EdT)

2 x Salvador Dali (one parfum & one EdT)

I had three repeated scents this month: Angel, Sweet Redemption, and a surprise repeater: Dolce Vita!

I tried four new-to-me scents, due to receiving a bunch of Atelier samples: Orange Sanguine, Ambre Nuit, Rose Anonyme, and Vetiver Fatale. My favorite of the four was Vetiver Fatale, a big surprise because I normally don't like vetivier-centered scents.
