Last week I got it again, the new -relaunched- version with big red JEANS title printed on the bottle.
The nostalgic feelings overwhelmed me :)
Silver Jeans is still a great perfume!!!

The spice cabinet has been neglected in perfumery. I imagine this has to do with perfume producers not wanting to be pinned down by the literal, the prosaic, the kitchen. From the consumer...
Lacoste Challenge comes out of the bottle with citrus notes followed by the woodsy finishing notes. Very nice fragrance...

This is a surprising fragrance that has an initial attack similar to cedar (but cedar is not listed in the notes).
In the dry-down, It quickly changes to a slightly-powdery, sweet fragrance...
I bought this thinking that it was Versace Pour Homme, I should've remembered better but I didn't. I was bummed, but decided to try it anyways, and it was just so friggin' strong I couldn't...
currently spinning: Pye Corner Audio - The Black Mill Tapes Volumes 1 & 2
Lately I've been diggin' this retro synth John Carpenter-esque stuff. This album would've gone under my radar if not for Forced Exposure. Resident Advisor gave it 4/5 stars, frankly I don't know why they withheld the last star unless it was for PCA not including volume 3 in this set. I swear I'm seconds away from busting out the Escape From New York OST, lolz.
currently spinning: Primal Scream - Vanishing Point
Being the obsessive Andrew Weatherall fan that I was years ago, I went through the entire discography of theirs and I was extremely thrilled with the Weatherall-produced track, on this album, 'Trainspotting'. Still, my FAVORITE Primal Scream release is the 'Dixie Narco' EP. Every track is ace.

I have never heard of them (like so many artists that you post). Reminds me of the John Carpenter-esque stuff that Prurient (aka Dominick Fernow) is releasing like 'Time's Arrow'.

Oh cool, thanks for the recommend. I'm running down their back catalog as the first time around I was content with CDR's and mp3's. I'll keep an eye out for Dixie Narco. I luv that they did Vanishing Point as an alternate soundtrack to the 70's movie of the same name. How cool is that? And what a crazy cover of Motorhead!

That Prurient track is cool. When I left off with Prurient it was harsh noise. Seems the John Carpenter style stuff is trending. John Olson from Wolf Eyes is doing Moon Pool & Dead Band (Carpenter-esque), Andy Votel's new project Xian Orphic is like a mix of Klaus Shultze (Ash Ra Tempel, Tangerine Dream, etc.) and John Carpenter.
Heard a Belly song on the radio this morning (who plays them anymore?) and got in the mood for some rare Tanya-led Muses (firmly camp Kristin here usually!).
Been listening to a lot of Pet Shop Boys for the last couple of days (I go through these PSB phases), the new album has some highlights (the track 'A Face Like That' is fantastic) but their single which is sort of okay, has three wonderful B-sides, one of which is addictive...
