Do you have any cologne in mind that repels you? Any cologne that you're even scared to get close to? Any cologne that gives you the ultimate headache? Well here's mine below.....feel free to post yours as well. No offense to anyone who loves this cologne.

P.S...I didn't buy this!!! lol, i just hate it.

Repel is exactly what I think of when I think of Aramis. I wore this back in the day and my mother told me to go outside and kill some more mosquitoes.

I don't see why. It gives me a huge headache. I really like Aramis btw.

Secretions Magnifigue: extremely unpleasant.

That being said, I can think of some very unfriendly fragrances that are definitely quality and wearable. M/Mink comes to mind.

Kouros.

And old men like that?! Wow, how's that for insulting people with a different opinion! It's not a question of age whether you're able to appreciate the quality of this classic.

Kouros. As nice as the drydown is I just can't get past the opening. Smells like a public toilet right down to the stale piss, bleach and urinal cakes and it's so loud that there's just no escaping it. No dealing with it. Anyone who can wear classic Kouros, who enjoys the opening or can handle it, is lucky.

Hypnotic Poison. Was recommended this as a good gourmand. Wore a dab from a mini on one wrist (pressed to the other) and enjoyed it, but showered a few hours after. Tried for a full wearing last night after it had cooled down, and ended up throwing up twice and I had to resort to some extreme measures to cleanse myself and my home; rubbing alchohol didn't work, nor did scrubbing, nor did a shower. In the end I had a put a bunch of peppermint and eucalyptus burners on and rub peppermint all over myself. Even then I was catching the odd whiff. Criminally persistant.

Funny when I just saw the title Aramis came to mind.

To me, it's a 3-way tie: YSL Opium, Amouage Interlude Man, and Xerjoff Zafar

Unfortunately I always get a headache a while after having sprayed on Route du Vétiver. Maybe I just spray too much, I don't know. Although I want to appreciate how it smells, I cannot and have to wash it away after approximately an hour. Also I haven't yet experienced a fragrance that really upholds (till the drydown) the harshness or dissonance that it might exude via its top notes.

In terms of headache, PG's Cuir d'Iris gives me a headache and I can't figure out quite why.

Musc Ravaguer is unfriendly upon initial application...

Vraie Blonde makes me nauseous. I can't tolerate it on my skin for more than five minutes.

Ralph Lauren Polo. I don't understand how this was ever a popular crowd pleaser. Times sure have changed!

Update: I sniffed Aramis today and it doesn't even come close to Polo or Quorum or Azzaro PH in terms of unfriendliness.

A*Men. If applied properly (12 sprays) it will choke anybody like Darth Vader.

Honourable mention to Aseel (not really a cologne but something else, something more sinister). Ideal to train dogs or unruly neighbours. My neighbour used to stink out the hallway with cigarettes. I fired back with Aseel. He stopped smoking. Thanks Al Rehab!

I'm not old or a man and I like Aramis

And never smelled Secretions Magnifiques on a person, so not sure how bad it is on skin.

The only perfume I've encountered that gives me a headache is The Body Shop's Dewberry. I actually like it but it hurts my head.

I also can't bear to be around Narciso Rodgriguez for Her. The musk is so nauseating.

YSL Versus tortures me. I also can't stand Kouros' opening, Joop! Pour Homme in any humidity, the synthetic nightmare of most Curve and Polo moderns, Cartier Pasha (a/k/a Sex Panther), and any Oud that smells like the farm down the road. All of these are people repellents, and my husband also loathes Issey Miyake L'eau d' Issey although I don't mind it.

Musc Koublai Khan is the rankest cologne I know. There are many I don't like, and even a few I find offensive (Jicky, and even Bois du Portugal), but MKK defines "harsh" to my nose.

Aramis for sure

Piper Nigrum (vile stuff), Encre Noire, Cartier Declaration.

Secretions Magnifigue (once it dries down, opening isn't too bad!) and Aramis come to mind. I'll even go as far as to say Montale Black Aoud, although not bad at all, but the opening is very harsh, bitter and hissy.

I got terrible headache from Issey Miyake - L'Eau D'Issey pour Homme so I gave it to our driver. The weird thing is it smell amazing on him and do not give me headache.
Aramis is a smooth, mellow pussycat compared to Narciso Rodriguez for Him. Unset concrete and a used Sumo wrestlers belt. Bleugh.

Literally made me hover over the toilet about 30 seconds thinking I might get sick. This stuff is awful, awful, AWFUL.
The nastiest frag I've ever smelled would have to be this stuff called "Strength" not sure who its by. But this stuff if pungent!
Creed Aventus makes me want to vomit. (Kidding of course, I've never smelled the stuff but just thought I'd make light of this conversation.)

Anyone ever smell Lilac Vegetal? I believe it is a clubman after-shave. I have heard people buy it as a joke because it is so cheap. Some love it some say it is literally like cat pee or something. I have thought about buying a bottle from local walgreens or cvs pharmacy just for the heck of it but shied away at the last minute!

This makes me cringe... brother used to wear it - smells like a cheap condom dissolved in soy sauce to me. Just sprayed some on to remind me if i still feel the same, and yes i totally do, and now need to wash. Yuk. This i consider the harshest (that ive smelled).

This i purchased on a blind buy when... well i dont recall why but i did. Smells like rotton potpourri and garbage in an antibacterial scented garbage bag soaked in overly sweet yet septic lemonade. After about 30 minutes starts to smell okay, though i can never see myself wearing it, and would consider this the most unfriendly of what i have smelled.
