SOTD: Sunday 9 September 2012

Thread Starter
Good morning from sunny Tokyo. Autumn is creeping up on us as I notice less cicadas buzzing at night, replaced by the chirping of bell crickets.

It's the day before I fly back to London, so I'm busy packing, getting the flat in order, etc. I'm wearing Black Peony by Satori. Hmmm, seriously good and kind of wanting to stop by Satori for a full bottle!

Good Morning,

Yet another warm, sunny day here. How wonderful that it has coincided with the weekend.

Good morning all !. Having a slightly peppery day so far. Molton Brown Black Pepper shower gel followed by VC&A Cologne Noire.

Should anyone disagree that I smell great, my Basenotes bodyguard will instantly leap to my defence.

Lol, Larimar! I'm not stinking up the joint nearly so much today! CM really is loud! Knew you'd be able to smell me, sorry if I singed your nose hairs! If you'd just buy me a bottle of Lumiere Noire PF I'd smell good all the time!

Still in Chanel but stepped it up so I could return G.'s flirt from a couple weeks ago- No.5 EDT.

Tdem, you smell great today, too! And of course you do, Jon, I'm not about to tangle with that kind of strength! Besides, your bodyguard is one of my favorite people!

It's a gloriously sunny and hot day today, I think I will go with something equally crisp & fresh...

Colonia Assoluta by Acqua di Parma

I've been super busy this past week (the air conditioner went out in my office!) so I haven't stopped around enough to chat with everyone...but you all have been on my mind and I hope all is well with everyone. ((bear hugs))

Good morning everyone -

I'm in Yves Rocher's Rose Absolue. Y'all have a wonderful day!

Good morning!

Have a safe trip back to London, Ladymurasaki!

SotD is Santa Maria Novella Melograno.

I had a really early start to a busy day of practical tasks today, so my old staple for that type of thing, a lovely Cologne, Acqua di Genova first thing, then refreshed with SMN Acqua di Sicilia a bit later. I do love them.

And it seems that I have been house twins (and post twins) with Kilwia, too!

A warm Sunday in Milan. SotA is perfect end-of-summer Premier Figuier.

SotE - Minotaure.

Cooler and drier today (yay!) and sunny...a really lovely day for a drive just down the road into the countryside and maybe lunch out somewhere. I'm wearing No. 5 Eau Premiere, joining PerfumedLady in the House of Chanel, which has been very kind to me this summer.

Love to everyone.

p.s. SotE was C&S Dark Rose. I love it, and many thanks to Mike and a big (((bear hug))) back at you, sweetie! I hope your AC is back in order. Miami and no AC! I would have been dead by now!

L'Heure Bleue, vintage EdP tonight! It usually takes my breath away... so it does today!
Should I consider donating one of those wee roller bottles of LNPF Extrait to poor stinky PerfumedLady??

Well, hello there ! hehehehe.
There was really nothing for it but to join PL and lilybelle in No.5 this evening. Vintage EdP for me.

Best to all.

No scent yet but showered last night with Robert Piguet FRACAS shower cream. It isn't as highly scented as the parfum I have but it is an absolute treat for the skin. My tube is a couple of years old, so that may have effected the scent strength.

I've had to use two inhalers this morning; the mold count here is very high and I was out weeding yesterday.

Good evening all. Mr Ali took me to the Royal Armouries today. A brutal modern building housing some incredible ancient craftsmanship. Saw Henry VIII actual rumour from the Field of the Cloth of Gold and Queen Bess's lover, Dudley's, armour too.

People then were small, many of the suits of armour were for people of my height (just over 5ft) and Dudley's was one of these. Henry's would have been too tall for Mr Ali who is 6ft. He was huge for the time.

SotD was EL Jasmine and White Moss perfect and refreshing for a sunny warm day.

That sounds fascinating, Ali! I am a shorty, too- lots of small doorways and closets here in older American homes, which always fit me just fine!

We are quite a fine smelling trio, Lilybelle & G.! Burned off my EDT pulling weeds and have just added another huge blast to our No. 5 cloud. Look out, atmosphere!

Larimar! That is far too generous of you, I know you love LN, too! Only if you are positive you have enough- and if I can send you something in return. What a sweet offer but please don't short yourself!

That's just what I was thinking! I hope you get it fixed soon!

I'm wearing Bandit today for the first Chiefs football game of the season. It's been a disappointing weekend for football ... Jayhawks lost yesterday and Chiefs lost today.

Hugs to everyone ...

GO PACKERS! Your 49ers are beating us as of halftime. Grrrr!
A person can barely smell her Diptyque L'Eau de Tarocco over the scent of daughter's green- and gold-colored nail polish.

If I were at my Mac instead of the Kindle, I would insert a karate-flying-kick Piggy pic here. I would soooo make a great body guard for Jon.

... REPEATED ATTEMPTS AND SOME MINUTES LATER ...

IT'S A LITTLE AWKWARD TO DO ON THE KINDLE, BUT JON'S WORTH THE EFFORT.

It's been a beautiful late summer day here. It's still 70 degrees and just a slight breeze.
There are several deer in our yard right now, approx. 15. It's fun to watch the does with
their fawns. They are pretty tame, my husband can feed one doe and her 2 fawns
with apples from our trees, right out of his hand. Really wish the weather could stay
like this for a while, but today I could hear the geese flying overhead and they are
starting to fly south already.

SotE is Ineke Poet's Jasmine, from a sample.

Have been busy -- my work schedule tends to increase during the weekends -- with, ahem, work and our Blind Sniff. Planning to have fun next weekend and go out of town to a Rennaissance Fair in MN. Don't even know what to expect but anticipate sniffing candles, soaps and oils and stuff, I know not like it is going to be from Le Mason Francis Kurkdjian or something.

We are also having a cool spell (finally!) here, enjoying the weather. By Kilian Back to Black.
