"Eau de Jolie Madame"??

Just lucked into this by chance online. Any guesses as to its provenance? I've never seen JM in this format before. Both made in USA.

Okay, I will say vintage. I was first given Jolie Madame as a gift back in the early 1980s, so I think this one is pre that.

I know Balmain are re issuing their fragrances as Escentual.com are now stocking the range. Unfortunately Jolie Madame is not amongst them, I did email and ask about it? They said Balmain had not included it in the stock they supplied.

Thanks Donna! I've seen the re-releases, perhaps there are still enough of the previous reform with the grey label about. I've just never seen the 'eau de JM' version. Will review when I sniff it!

I have nearly the same presentation but released with a mist bottle for some kind of a Medical Association conference, so there's a date on it. It says "Gift of Revlon. American Medical Association Meeting 1963." In the box there's a foldout that suggests the 'eau de" and mist together was a brand new development. So yours may be pre-1963.

So curious! What does it smell like compared to regular juice?

Thanks anomie, that's really helpful... It does seem like a special presentation, and it came from the estate of a 96 year old woman!

Kumquat, will writeup as soon as I receive it, I am still eagerly awaiting the postman. I had what I think was a 70s or 80s JM a few years back but foolishly gave it away.
