Good morning! Do I really get to start the ball today?

My sotd is L'Artisan's Seville a L'Aube. Uplifting, orange'y and woodsy. Mmmm!
Good morning all!

SOTD is Bandit. I knew I only had a few spritz left, so got myself another bottle yesterday.
Have a happy Friday!

Hello there!
Today has started better than yesterday so far, so fingers crossed.
I am wearing Eau Ressourcante by Clarins. This scent with calming
essential oils always centres me and makes me feel I can take on the world.

Hugs for ((((30R)))) and ((((RHM)))) and anyone else in need of some. xo

SOTD is DSH Perfumes Au Lait, a lovely, cozy, your-skin-but-better scent with milky-vanillic accents. There's a touch of something sensual, too, like ambrette and/or musk, that keeps it from being straight foody.

Happy Friday, all!

VA VA VOOM!! What a combo!! Explosive, smouldering, I would think. Do you have something in mind.....

((((Kewart))))). You take it easy now. What a horrible day you had yesterday. xo

The sycnh today has a travel theme, Africa, which gives me a good reason to get my Timbuktu out. I blow hot and cold about this one.

Hello everyone!

I'm in sync this morning with Ralph Lauren's Safari. Y'all have a great day!

SOTD: Terre d'Hermes Parfum

I'm in sync in Ouarzazate today - with a bit of amber oil that I bought in Morocco (in Ouarzazate, in fact) on my wrists, to double down on the theme. It is very much evoking memories of my fab trip to Morocco two years ago!
Avignon for me, today.
Good morning all! Today I'm wearing a vintage perfume by Avon called Evermore as it's listed on this website. My bottle actually is named Splendour which is the same perfume with a name change made in the 90's I believe. A very spicy, skanky fragrance.

Hi everyone!

It's cold this morning, 30 degrees with a good coating of frost.

Big day for me, it's 1 year today since I ended up in the emergency room. The surgery and all the major complications I had after, make me feel so thankful that I made it through it despite the odds. Something like that really make you appreciate each and every day.

Celebrating by buying a bottle of Lumiere Noire Pour Femme, it's also my SotD. Will try to sync later.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Si Lolita. A nice, peppery kick to brighten up this dreary day.

I would have joined Evangeline in Safari for Scent Synch, but I haven't had that in years. And then I thought, "what a perfect day for Antilope!". But I don't have that one either. So...I rummaged through the samples and came up with Le Maroc pour Elle by Andy Tauer. It's gorgeous. It would work better for me as an evening scent, though, as it is a super-potent floral. The Mister just walked down the opposite end of the hallway saying, "phssssssh....I can smell that stinky perfume!" I only dabbed a bit. But I stink so gooood!! (channeling Quarry).
Because, as announced on Ix o1,

WHITE IS THE NEW NAUGHTY FAWN

I think today I will just wear three layers of Jicky. Since, even with three layers on, this is tantamount to wearing nothing, It comes interestingly close to wearing an olfactory simulation of the complete absence of chromatic saturation.

Amouage Dia Woman is my SOTD. Have a happy Friday everyone and enjoy the weekend!

I had sprayed Mitsouko before checking out the Sync Fri. thingie. Even so, I can't think of anything I have that is Africa-themed.
Synched in Fumerie Turque from a most generous BN friend. Lovely smokey blanket of a scent.

A good weekend to all. See you in 8 days. I'm off to pack now
post #38 of 62
I'm in synch with Dior Homme, as I'm sure it is African iris that is used.........I'm totally joking I missed synch day again

Kiliwia, what a wonderful day it is indeed!!! Congrats on your special purchase, and celebrate your "birthday" in style.
SotE - D&G By Man (the synch connection is vague but I'll count it anyway ).

Busy day ahead tomorrow culminating in a Tchaikovsky Gala in London. The programme sounds pretty impressive -

Polonaise from Eugene Onegin
Swan Lake Suite.
Piano Concerto No 1.
Sleeping Beauty Waltz.
Violin Concerto No 1.
1812 Overture.

Back Sunday - hope everyone has a great weekend

Wearing (in sync) VISA for my daughter who is home from school with a migraine.
I smell of too many orange blossom scents now, LOL. Tried on several for observations sake. Narcisse Noir and Jupiter To Juno would be two of perhaps up to four I tried on my skin LOL. I like o. blossom but I feel blasted everywhere..too much, LOL.

((RHM)) hope your daughter feels better. (((kiliwia))) so happy for you, yes, indeed celebrate! Glad to see you treated yourself with a nice, little something.

Neil Morris Gandahara today. This is good.

I realized today that this year I will have 2 daughters old enough to vote! I feel very, um, mature....

RHM, I hope your daughter feels better soon, and that you are doing OK too.
Good Evening,

Have fun tomorrow, Jon !
Kiliwia - a cause for celebration, indeed.

Not even remotely synching in Chanel Cuir de Russie - vintage EdT.

Best to all.
Older version Van Cleef & Arpels First edp. What an incredible fragrance; the daffodils and honey are almost gourmand on me, but then the animalics cut through--resolutely old-fashioned, and the composed drama of those unremitting aldehydes! It's finally cooler and moody-dark here in St. Louis, just the way I like it and much better for perfume wearing. You can take the girl out of Seattle, etc. etc.

Will be changing into Maroc by Ultima II for the sync. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Good afternoon, all!

SotA is YSL In Love Again.
Started the day in a sample of Elixir des Merveilles -- it's on my wish list officially now.

I need to shower, then I'll sync in more Hermes -- Jardin sur le Nil.

Cartier-Panthére
• Sparkling top notes of grapefruit, mandarin, and orange blossom.
• Spicy floral middle notes of tuberose, jasmine, gardenia, and freesia.
• Oriental sandalwood base notes with a mix of tonka bean and labdanum.

Leather Oud - Dior
MdM, I'm sorry your Jicky is so wan. Are you wearing the newest formulation because you want to break the new office personnel in gently??

Jon, I like your synch connection!

Kumquat, I forgot about Panthere!

Le Maroc pour Elle is still going strong. For a while there it smelled similar to EldO Incens et Bubblegum (sp?) and also a little like By Kilian's Sweet Redemption - in other words, very sweet and floral, which I love. Then I was gettig an almondy impression. Now, it has dried down to a pleasant sort of sweet and smoky incense.
Ha! I made the same sort of connection this morning as Jon, but rethought it when I realized Safari more perfectly fit the sync ...but as it happens, I've been craving this gorgeous Absolu ever since, so it's now my sota ...even though it really has even less of an African connection than By Man, which at least comes in a zebra-striped bottle!

Kiliwia - congratulations, that's so great! You enjoy your gorgeous new Lumière Noir PF in the best of health! I love that one, too - such a beauty.

That sure is a lot of Tchaikovsky, Jon - enjoy your weekend!

kumquat - you always smell great, but something about you this afternoon seems so ...oh, I don't know ...youthful, somehow.

SOTD: Le Temps d'Une Fete by Parfums de Nicolai.
Thanks, E, youthful, I like that ok!
Am testing Amouage Lyric Woman.

It's lovely, but to my untrained nose which fails to interpret nuances in notes, it smells a tad similar to Ormonde Jayne's Taif and Rosine's Rose Kashmirie.

Exquisite spicy rose, nevertheless.

Lol! I was referring to the lovely grapefruit note in your Panthére, but I wondered if I was being a bit too obscure.

Oh-I'm glad you reminded me, duh! Actually-it is a hot frag! I always feel frisky in that one.
I think I'm in synch today with Chergui ... after all it is named for the dry, dusty wind of North Africa. (I hope I have that right!)

E, I was going to wear Safari from my ancient bottle ... I didn't realize the sprayer is missing!

I like E's and Jon's zebra connection and kumquat's panther connection today.

Kiliwia, congratulations and continued good health!

Hugs to all ...

Just a couple of dabs of Bourbon French Anastasia this evening. I daren't wear anything stronger...the hubs is too close tonight, he will complain. We are having a bed-Friday-night media binge: dinner (cheese, crackers and a sliced apple), newspapers, kindlefire, laptop, TV with baseball game, we two, the dog, all together in bed. I enjoy these evenings. We only need one room to live in. Speaking of Funk...he's got a good three day one going himself. He has announced his intention to shower and shave tonight, though. And he complains about my stinky perfume!! The dog thinks he smells wonderful. She is gazing at him with adoring eyes and licking his hand with relish. Speaking of Bourbon French...I just made hotel/flight res for NOLA for Christmas week. I am going to stop by and say hello to Mary at BF, and I'm going to stop by the other places we visited last year too, Hové and Avery.
