No. But I'll add to the great list already and say I love Francis Bacon

And then on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Yayoi Kusama

Have seen two of her exhibitions, one at the Tate, London, the other in Wellington New Zealand. They're surprisingly moving when you hear her story - the sheer repetition of her work and her madness makes something as simple as a painting of dots become very upsetting... but lively!

Big fan of Dali and Bacon. Lately I've been really moved by a this contemporary artist...whom I only know as RHADS on DeviantArt.

I LOVE his use of color, and his ability to capture what Francis Bacon calls "The brutality of fact" - but I think in most of these it might be better worded as "the beauty of fact."

"Alone"

"Rainy Evening"

"Infinite Dreams"

"Speed painting 32"

"Rainy Day III"

"August Sky"

"September Sky"

"Great Love Sky"

Kick me for being cliche, I don't care, but I love the heck out of Monet's paintings. I find them wonderfully graceful and serene.

So yeah, I'll be "that person."

SculptureOfSoul, those RHADS paintings are great! I especially enjoy "Rainy Evening."
