L'air du Desert Marocain and Bois du Portugal

Is it just me, or does anyone else think these smell kind of similar? I prefer Andy Tauer's fragrance, but I'm wearing BDP today and I can't help but think if you throw in a small amount of sugar cookie in this, it's pretty close.

They smell completely different to me, BDP is mainly lavender, vetiver and woods whilst LDDM is all about amber, spices and incense. The way we perceive a scent can be very subjective maybe you are picking up on a note or two that reminds you of the other.

I can`t find any similarities.

Night and day, apples and oranges.

Are you smelling them together?
I don't get any similarities.
Not in the least bit. Nothing alike and not even close.

Yes they're both on the darker end of the spectrum. Its not like one is floral and the other incense. No they're closer in that way but from a nnote perspective, they're very different.

Very different to me.

They are completely different. However they both work well in fall weather (LADDM is what I am currently wearing), and while I do not get any real similarities, these fragrances seem to evoke similar feelings. So, in a way, I do see what you mean. Sort of...

WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT!!??!! What is up with the sudden rise of threads about two completely different fragrances smelling similar? Is this an inside joke? Egoiste and Royal Oud the other day and now this? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!!!

On a related note, LDDM did remind me of Armani Attitude the first time I smelled it, but not anymore. Also, BDP reminds me of Lauder Intuition for Men ever so slightly.

not close at all, imo.
I do get some similarities, but Tauer's is more of a gourmand and BDP is more of a lavendar bomb.

Same here.
