Perfume & Colognes & Fragrances in general, are luxury goods. It's totally not a "need", it's a want!!!
So when you think about it, is it EVER worth $200 for a bottle 100ml of alcohol and oil? NO WAY!!!!

BUT...

Perfume is a great collectible because, the "good" stuff retains its value! Even after setting on the shelf for 2 years, (f stored properly) can be worth most of what you paid for it (or more in some cases). "True Fine Fragrances" really only lose their value when they are worn. As long as you still have liquid in the bottle, it's worth something to someone else!

I think that is just SOOOOO COOOOOOL!!!

Yes, it's just a bottle of liquid to someone anosmic, but to the fragrance connoisseur, fine fragrances are the fragrant equivalent of a music album, movie, etc.

True fragrance "compositions" are art, and so, depending on your subjective appreciation for that form of art, it can be totally worth the money to own a piece of it.

So true! I also find it to be just as much an accessory to complete an outfit like a ring, a watch, a tie, earrings, etc.
