Our climate.

Hey guys, do you think the lack of humidity and the naturally dry climate we live in may have an affect on the projection, longevity and sillage of the fragrances we wear ?

Things evaporate much faster when it's dry and hot, so perfumes will last less. I think it's more temperature than humidity, but both likely have an effect. When I'm sweating at the gym, I can smell things much more clearly and with more notes. I don't know if the same is true for dryness alone (that is, for a given temperature).

I think dryness results in perfumes evaporating faster too.
I think humidity adds a protective layer to a degree.

So the key to longevity and projection for us is to...sweat
