Tuscan Leather: Skin vs. Shirt

So, I've been testing Tuscan Leather the last few days, being relatively new to leather fragrances. Anyway, today I noticed that when it's on my skin, it becomes creamy, light, with hints of what seems like vanilla, whereas, when it's on my shirt, I get lots of leather and some raspberry. Now, I do still get plenty of leather when it's on my skin, but it is quite a different, more pleasing scent when I spray it on the inside of my arm instead of my shirt/neck area.

Has anyone else experienced this? I know it's not exactly uncommon for skin to change a scent a bit, but this is a pretty dramatic change for the better.

Yes. I rarely spray on my skin; TL is an exception. It smells fantastic and smooth on my skin, but like a dirty ash tray on fabric.

I have not tried with this one, but skin makes top notes evaporate faster, whereas fabric keeps all the material for much longer. So it is well possible that when you spray on skin you get more of the base notes.

It also depends a lot on skin temperature. If you spray on skin and then sweat, you smell more notes than in regular environments.

I love the top notes of TL so I tend to want to spray this stuff on clothing

I notice strong floral notes on my skin and a strong leather note on my shirts.

Just got my sample of this stuff today, wearing it now, feels like some took my leather jacket and liquified it, put it into an atomiser and shipped it abck to me Will have to try it on the shirt over the coming days. Quite a nice masculine scent

I would avoid spraying on fabric because that is where I get the dirty ashtray smell from.
