I want more of "Grandmother smell" !

Many may say some scents has an outdated vibe, but i usually like some gradmom scents. I did not have a reference of this kind of smell so i never do this association. Onee basenoter told about Antaeus, and sure i really like it's mature drydown. I am now in love with troisieme man by Caron which has some powdery-musk drydown that is quite mature. Can you guys say some more scents in the type of 3th man? Thank you.

Perhaps Musk to Musk

Hammam Bouquet from Penhaligons is what you are looking for.

While I have been told that Antaeus by Chanel may be a "grandmother smell", but I'd think more Jovan Musk would qualify along these lines.

For me "Grandmother" smells include anything super powdery + sweet, and anything that is dominate rose.

super powdery + sweet = Back to Black By Kilian
rose dominate = Montale Rose Aoud

To me they both smell like my Grandmother as she wore something dominated by the scents when she was alive.

For the elegant grandmother, try these. Many from the 1950s and older. All can be safely worn by men as women's scents of the past were not fruity, sweet florals:

Jolie Madame, violet and leather
Cabochard, a great leather
Bandit, a fab leather good enough for a Harley rider
Shalimar, the ultimate oriental
Vol de Nuit, green with herbs and florals
Mitsouko, the ultimate chypre
L'Heure Bleue, an herbal floral, 1912
Apres L'Ondee, herbal and traditional, 1906
Cuir de Lancome, flora; smokey leather
Azuree (1969), great herbal leather
Miss Dior (older version and not the new one with the old name), green
Clinique Aromatics Elixir (1971), lots of oakmoss and florals

This is my bf's signature scent. He's a carpenter, I never think of grandma when he wears this, lol.

JHL by Aramis. I never liked it and a friend actually told me I smelled exactly like the lady that used to play organ at his catholic church when he was a kid. I immediately traded it away.

My nan used to wear lavender essence, not sure what label. I guess Yardley's lavender line could be up your alley!
